22 quarterbacks will have bigger cap hits than the #49ers entire current QB room in 2023:

The 49ers QB room was never going to be particularly expensive. That was true even before they traded their most expensive QB, Trey Lance, to the Dallas Cowboys.

Prior to Lance’s departure there were more than 10 quarterbacks due to cost more against the salary cap in 2023 than the entire 49ers QB room. Now that Lance has been traded and Brandon Allen has made the 53-man roster, the 49ers QBs will cost them $7,034,693 against the cap.

Sam Darnold’s $5,052,941 is their largest according to Spotrac.

With other QB contracts worked out and the 49ers QB room finalized, here’s an updated list of all the individual quarterbacks who carry bigger cap hits in 2023 than the entire 49ers quarterback room:

Here’s a look at the biggest salary-cap hits for the Colts entering the 2023 offseason.

The Indianapolis Colts are coming off a disappointing campaign that resulted in landing a top-five draft pick, and now there are going to be some big changes throughout the 2023 offseason.

While finding their next head coach is the top priority at the moment, we could see some changes coming to the roster due to salary-cap restraints.

Some of these cap hits include roster bonuses that don’t go into effect until March but since they are on the roster as of this writing, we’ll assume they will be until something changes.

Though the Colts aren’t in desperate need to add more cap space, some of these contracts could be offloaded or restructured.

The Dallas Cowboys currently have 47 players under contract for the 2021 season. While the salary cap is yet to be determined, it is expected to be above the floor set prior to last season of $175 million. Some scuttlebutt has floated the idea of a $195 million cap.
