PODCAST: What’s next for Saints after handing Tom Brady his worst-ever loss?

The new episode of the Saints Wire Podcast reviews the New Orleans Saints’ win over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then looks ahead

Well, that was fun. After thrashing Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints have a series of very winnable games ahead of them — but they must be careful not to overlook their opponents, no matter how favorable the matchups might seem. That starts with their next game against the wounded San Francisco 49ers.

Those are the topics we’re discussing in this week’s Saints Wire Podcast, hosted by Ryan O’Leary (@RyanOLearySMG on Twitter) with Saints Wire managing editor John Sigler (@john_siglerr). You can subscribe for new episodes released each Thursday on Apple Podcasts or your podcast service of choice.

PODCAST: Saints fans, Michael Thomas to return vs. Panthers?

The New Orleans Saints are planning to return a live audience and star wide receiver Michael Thomas against the Carolina Panthers.

The newest episode of the Saints Wire Podcast is live, hosted as always by Ryan O’Leary (@RyanOLearySMG on Twitter) with Saints Wire managing editor John Sigler (@john_siglerr on Twitter).

This week we’re taking stock of the Saints after their bye week and looking forwards, with a game coming up this Sunday against the division-rival Carolina Panthers.

Additionally, a limited number of Saints fans will be allowed into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for the first time in 2020, and wide receiver Michael Thomas could be making his return — if the hamstring injury he suffered in practice doesn’t keep him down.

The city of New Orleans will remain in Phase 2 of its COVID-19 pandemic recovery plan, prohibiting fans in stadiums.
It leaves the Saints with just one game before their bye week to host fans: Oct. 12 vs. the Chargers on Monday Night Football.
This is hardly the farewell tour for Drew Brees that had been envisioned, if this is his last year in the NFL
