The Sacramento Kings (2-4) visit FTX Arena to take on the Miami Heat (3-5) Wednesday. Tip is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Kings vs. Heat odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
The Kings have somehow won 2 straight contests after losing their first 4 games. They beat the Heat 119-113 Saturday and Charlotte Hornets 115-108 Monday.
Sacramento will be without its leading scorer, G De’Aaron Fox, in this battle. He was averaging 24.5 points per game, so replacing that production will be paramount for the Kings.
The Heat are playing the 2nd night of a back-to-back, having snapped a 2-game skid with a 116-109 victory over the Golden State Warriors 116-109 as 1.5-point favorites Tuesday.
Miami usually thrives defensively, and while it struggles offensively, 5 players are averaging double digits. F Jimmy Butler is leading the way, scoring 21.5 per game and shooting 47.0% from the field.

Kings at Heat picks and predictions
Prediction
Heat 111, Kings 106
Moneyline
PASS.
The Kings are down their star player, so taking them outright doesn’t seem smart. Likewise, the Heat have struggled enough to not make their moneyline playable at all.
Against the spread
BET KINGS +6.0 (-112).
Without Fox, the Kings will get a nice price here, but their roster is more than the star guard.
G Kevin Huerter averages 18.3 points per game and shoots 50% from the field while rookie F Keegan Murray has played well and is averaging 17.4 points per game.
The Heat and Kings are 18th and 19th in net rating, respectively. The Heat haven’t really done anything well to start the season, ranking in the bottom half of the league in defensive rating and effective field goal percentage.
They haven’t been impressive and will be on tired legs following a win over the reigning champs Tuesday. This seems like a spot they’ll disappoint in against a rested and young Kings team.
Over/Under
LEAN UNDER 220.5 (-108).
The other case against the Kings is that Fox is the creator of much of what they do. F Domantas Sabonis is averaging just 13.5 per game this season and has struggled to enforce himself offensively.
Considering the Heat have a similar roster and were the 4th-best defensive team last season, there should be some improvements on that side of the ball.
With both teams in the bottom ten in offensive rebounding and the Heat 25th in pace, I would back the UNDER 220.5 (-108) here.
