2025 4-Star WR out of Louisiana places Texas A&M in his Top 5 program list

2025 4-star WR Russell Babineaux has placed Texas A&M in his initial Top 5 program list.

Texas A&M’s elite recruiting streak under head coach Jimbo Fisher took a big hit on Tuesday night after 2024 four-star WR Drelon Miller announced his de-commitment. However, this did not come as a surprise to most who possessed initial intel regarding his decision.

Sitting at an underwhelming 4-3 (2-2 SEC), Fisher’s coaching seat is ablaze once again, but with five games remaining on the season, I’d suggest fans temper their emotions regarding his future with the program until the final whistle blows.

So, looking ahead to the Aggies 2025 recruiting class, four-star wide receiver Russell Babineaux, out of Acadiana (LA), released his Top 5 program list amid his 2023 junior season, which includes Auburn, Ole Miss, LSU, Missouri, and Texas A&M.

According to 247Sports Composite, Babineaux is currently positioned as the 46th-ranked wide receiver and the 9th-ranked player in Louisiana. On the shorter side at 5-8, and just over 160 pounds, the track star relies on his speed and efficient route running to get the job done. After receiving his offer from Fisher on Jan. 23,  Babineaux hopes to visit College Station as soon as possible.

Tigers look to keep 2025 Louisiana receiver in-state after latest offer

Russell Babineaux may not have a lot of recruiting attention yet, but that is sure to change for the talented 2025 prospect.

[autotag]Russell Babineaux[/autotag] is a 2025 wide receiver from Lafayette, Louisiana, where he plays for Acadiana High School. There is not a lot of fanfare surrounding Babineaux yet because he is only going into his sophomore year of high school.

Still, there is a trio of teams that have seen enough of him to garner a scholarship offer. LSU, Ole Miss and Florida State are all ahead of the curve on this talented athlete.

Film Analysis: It is hard to stand out when you are a wide receiver in a run-heavy offense. Acadiana runs a lot of Power-I and wing-T sets. So, the offensive coordinator has to get creative to get the ball into the hands of one of his best athletes.

He gets creative and uses Babineaux as a running back in some sets. As well as bringing him in motion and running a trap or a reverse with him to the opposite side of the field. It is obvious to see that he is a talented athlete and I look forward to seeing where the recruiting trail leads him in the future.
