After seeing action in the wildcat formation at Kansas City Chiefs training camp last week wide receiver Skyy Moore got involved in more trickery at the team’s Wednesday practice session.
He was called on to take an end-around rushing attempt after a Patrick Mahomes handoff to Jerick McKinnon, who then gave the ball to Moore as he worked against the grain to fool the Chiefs’ defense.
Kansas City Sports Network got a great view of the deceptive play and posted a video of the unorthodox run to social media.

Moore’s involvement in plays like this is becoming a common theme at Chiefs workouts and could portend a new role for him as a gadget player in Kansas City’s offense next season. He will have to fight for as many snaps as he can get at his true position, so his usage on trick plays could prove crucial to his efficacy as a starter in Andy Reid’s system.
