RSS Racing’s 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season in review

RSS Racing had a down year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Here, you can check out the NASCAR team’s 2023 season in review!

[autotag]RSS Racing[/autotag] can look at the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series season and view it in two different ways. Ryan Sieg, Kyle Sieg, and Joe Graf Jr. didn’t have the speed necessary to make the playoffs or even exceed five top-10 finishes. In fact, this was Ryan Sieg’s worst season since 2018. However, there is another way to look at it that represents a major success.

Aric Almirola piloted the No. 28 Xfinity car at Sonoma Raceway and was the first driver to cross the start-finish line. It was RSS Racing’s first victory in the Xfinity Series since its debut in 2013, which brought great joy to those on the race team. Still, the other side of the spectrum shows that its full-time drivers need better equipment to compete in the series.

In 2024, the Sieg brothers will return to RSS Racing full-time, while Frankie Muniz is also rumored to run a full season. Muniz, who ran for Rette Jones Racing in the ARCA Menards Series, would be a massive addition due to his popularity. Perhaps Muniz’s possible arrival could bring better equipment and funding to propel the organization to a new level.

Blaine Perkins to join RSS Racing for 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season

Blaine Perkins will join RSS Racing on a full-time basis for the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season.

[autotag]RSS Racing[/autotag] announced on Monday afternoon that [autotag]Blaine Perkins[/autotag] will drive for the organization full-time in 2024. Perkins joins Ryan Sieg and Kyle Sieg as full-time competitors while plans for a fourth entry remain unknown. The 23-year-old driver started the 2023 NASCAR season with SS-Greenlight Racing before moving over to Our Motorsports

Perkins only has one top-10 finish in his Xfinity Series career when he finished in 10th place at Martinsville Speedway with Our Motorsports in 2022. In the same year, Perkins drove full-time for CR7 Motorsports in the NASCAR Truck Series. Now, he receives his best opportunity yet with RSS Racing in the Xfinity Series.

It was previously rumored that Frankie Muniz, a well-known actor who starred in Malcolm in the Middle, would drive full-time for RSS Racing next year; however, that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore. Muniz’s future remains unknown for the 2024 NASCAR season, as Perkins knows what will be ahead of him.

Kyle Sieg returning to RSS Racing in Xfinity Series for 2024 NASCAR season

RSS Racing announced on Friday afternoon that Kyle Sieg will return to the No. 28 Xfinity car for the 2024 NASCAR season.

[autotag]RSS Racing[/autotag] announced on Friday afternoon that [autotag]Kyle Sieg[/autotag] will return to the organization as a full-time driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for 2024. Sieg competed in 31 of 33 races during the 2023 Xfinity Series season and finished the year with one top-10 finish, a 23.5 average finishing position, and a 22nd-place finish in the point standings.

The 22-year-old driver’s brother, Ryan Sieg, drives the No. 39 Xfinity car on a full-time basis, so both competitors will run the entire schedule. In 2023, Sieg had a best finish of seventh-place at Atlanta Motor Speedway during the summer. As for the organization’s third entry, Frankie Muniz has been rumored to drive full-time in the Xfinity Series.

Overall, this is a good partnership between Sieg and RSS Racing as the organization continues to grow. The 22-year-old driver should be better during the 2024 NASCAR season, as last year was his first true campaign in the Xfinity Series. Now, the Sieg family will look forward to 2024 as a full-time campaign is on the way for both drivers.
