On Sunday night, another big-time transfer entered the college basketball grad transfer pool in Arizona State’s Romello White. According to a report from college basketball analyst Jeff Goodman, White has heard from a number of schools interested in his services, including Michigan State.
White is a former 4-star recruit for the Sun Devils who, at 6’8″ and 235 pounds, can play either big man position. He is currently projected to transfer to Vanderbilt by 247sports, which is interesting because they are not included in the list below.
Here is Goodman’s report:
Arizona State grad transfer Romello White tells me he’s heard from following schools. Georgia native also said he prefers to go closer to home.
Michigan St.
Wake Forest
Memphis
Arkansas
West Va.
DePaul
Ole miss
Georgia

Georgetown
Auburn
Purdue

White averaged 10.2 points and 8.8 rebounds while playing 28.5 minutes-per-game last season. He actually had his best scoring season as a college player as a freshman for ASU where he scored 10.5 points-per-game.
For MSU, there is uncertainty at the Center/Power Forward position as Xavier Tillman Sr. continues to ponder his NBA Draft status. While the team will look to incoming 4-star recruit Mady Sissoko and transfer Joey Hauser to fill much of that production, if Tillman does leave then a veteran addition like White would be a welcome addition.
