Mack Wilson ready for his upcoming breakout ‘Joe Burrow season’ with the Browns
Wilson made the unusual comparison in an interview with Roll Tide Wire
Mack Wilson is ready for his Joe Burrow season.
Wait, what…?
Yes, the Browns second-year LB really brought up the rival Bengals new quarterback and No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft as his goal for the season.
In an interview with RollTide Wire’s AJ Spurr, Wilson talked confidently about his chance to really break out in his second season in Cleveland. He struggled as a fifth-round rookie and he knows it, but Wilson is ready to build from what he’s learned,
“I feel like my rookie season, I made a lot of mistakes, just going back and looking at some of the games we played last season. I left a lot of plays on the field, I missed a lot of runs, blew a few coverages, just making a lot of rookie mistakes and I tried to fix those as we went on week by week, but this year I’m way more comfortable than I’ve ever been. I feel like this is like my sophomore year in college, I’m just comfortable.”
He described to Spurr that he sees it like how Joe Burrow emerged with a “perfect” season at LSU in 2019 after a so-so college career to that point.
The former Alabama standout does not lack confidence in his game. That’s a good sign for the Browns, who will rely on development in Wilson’s game heavily after letting both Joe Schobert and Christian Kirksey leave Cleveland this offseason.

Raiders projected to draft two Alabama players in first round
Bleacher Report’s lead NFL draft analyst Matt Miller predicts that two Alabama players will be drafted in the first round to the Raiders.
The Raiders hold two picks in the first round, picks No. 12 and No. 19.
Miller predicts that wide receiver Henry Ruggs III will be drafted at No. 12 and safety Xavier McKinney at No. 19.
The reasoning behind both selections is the Raiders have needs at receiver and a safety
