Former Kent State forward among latest Auburn transfer portal targets

Forward Robert Carpenter has heard from several programs, including Auburn, since entering the transfer portal.

The Auburn Tigers have reached out to [autotag]Robert Carpenter[/autotag], a former forward for the Kent State Golden Flashes.

Aside from Auburn, Carpenter has been contacted by programs such as Eastern Illinois, UT Martin, Albany, Coastal Carolina, Bryant, Fairfield, Alcorn State, and CSU Northridge.

Auburn would be Carpenter’s fourth stop. The Detroit, Michigan native originally played for St. Bonaventure in the 2019-20 season before transferring to Mississippi Valley State. Carpenter did not appear in a game for Kent State.

The last season Carpenter played was the 2021-22 season for Mississippi Valley State. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 16.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game that season.

The Tigers are looking to add to its’ 2023-24 roster, and have made great strides in doing so to this point. The Tigers have added two transfers in guards [autotag]Denver Jones[/autotag] and [autotag]Cheney Johnson[/autotag], and have been connected to Vanderbilt guard, [autotag]Tyrin Lawrence[/autotag].
