Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary visited Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee Friday.

“Had a great in school visit with Josh Heupel and Brian Jean-Mary today,” Gipson said on Twitter. “Thanks for taking time out of y’all’s day to come talk to me!”

National signing day for the 2022 class will take place Feb. 2.

The Vols signed 20 players during the early signing period in December.

Former Tennessee commit showcases Vols in top-20

Tennessee Vols’ football recruiting news.

2022 defensive end prospect Jimmy Scott committed to Tennessee on Aug. 16, 2020.

The Vols initially offered Scott on March 31, 2020.

He decommitted from the Vols on Jan. 20, two days following Jeremy Pruitt being relieved of his head coaching duties at Tennessee.

Scott has since provided an update on his recruiting process, listing the Vols within his top-20 offers.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Hamburg, New York native is from St. Francis High School.

 

Josh Heupel was hired as the Vols’ head coach on Jan. 27. He has since hired Tim Banks as Tennessee’s defensive coordinator.

The Vols currently do not have a commitment for its 2022 recruiting class.
