Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Saturday’s Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Baltimore Ravens (9-4) meet the Cleveland Browns (5-8) for a Week 15 matchup Saturday. Kickoff at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET (NFL Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Ravens vs. Browns odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Ravens scratched out a 16-14 road win against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday, following up a 10-9 win against the Denver Broncos at home in Week 13. With QB Lamar Jackson sidelined all last week and for most of the game against Denver, the Ravens have won 2 straight ugly contests.

The Browns were dumped 23-10 in Cincinnati last week, splashing cold water on a modest 2-game win streak. The Under has cashed in 3 in a row for Cleveland.

Baltimore topped Cleveland 23-20 back in Week 7, but the Browns covered a 6.5-point number as the Under (46.5) connected.

Ravens at Browns picks and predictions

Prediction

Ravens 19, Ravens 16

Moneyline

The RAVENS (+130) are the underdogs in this road game, which is a bit of a surprise. Take advantage.

QB Tyler Huntley will be making his 2nd straight start with Jackson sidelined. He was knocked out of last week’s game in Pittsburgh due to a concussion, but he has cleared protocol, so rookie QB Anthony Brown will be the backup.

The Browns are moderate favorites despite a losing record overall, and a poor overall history against Baltimore through the years.

Against the spread

If you just can’t trust the RAVENS +3 (-114) to win straight up then surely you have to take Baltimore and the points as this is going to be a close game.

However, I think the Ravens are going to win outright, similar to the last 2 weekends. Baltimore will lean on short to intermediate passes on offense while relying heavily upon its defense.

Over/Under

UNDER 39 (-111) is a very low number, but if the past 2 games are any indication for Baltimore, this is actually much higher than we’ll see.

The weather forecast calls for flurries along Lake Erie, which won’t affect much. However, the winds are forecast to be whipping anywhere from 15-25 mph, so that should limit the vertical game for both sides significantly. Running keeps the clock running and keeps the scores low.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Sunday’s Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns Week 14 odds and lines, with expert NFL picks, predictions and best bets.

The Baltimore Ravens (8-4) visit the Cleveland Browns (6-6) for a Week 14 matchup Sunday. Kickoff from FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we look at the Ravens vs. Browns odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.

The Ravens are looking to rebound after a crushing 20-19 loss at the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, failing on a 2-point conversion inside the final minute. The Ravens offense has struggled, averaging just 15.3 points per game (PPG) across the past four outings, all Under results.

The Browns, who had a bye last week, face the Ravens in back-to-back games as they lost 16-10 at Baltimore in Week 12. Playing a team in consecutive regular-season games is a scheduling quirk we haven’t had in the NFL since 1991, and it’s the first time the Browns faced the same opponent in back-to-back games since 1957.

Ravens at Browns odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Ravens 20, Browns 16

Money line

The RAVENS (+120) are the play here. They topped the Browns in Baltimore on SNF two weeks ago despite 4 interceptions and a minus-2 turnover differential. That kind of sloppy play isn’t happening again, and the Browns are just too banged up to do much more than they have lately.

Against the spread

RAVENS +2.5 (+100) are a good play if you’re expecting a repeat of last week when Baltimore lost by one point. But the Browns haven’t covered in three games and are just 2-6 ATS across the past eight. Baltimore dominates this series. Sunday won’t be any different.

Over/Under

Roll with the UNDER 42.5 (-108) in this rematch in Cleveland. The weather forecast calls for wins of 16 mph blowing in off of Lake Erie. That should encourage both sides to keep the ball on the ground. The breezy conditions might also hamper kicking efforts, which is great news for Under bettors.

Ravens at Browns: Game notes

  • The Browns were curb-stomped in Week 1 against the Ravens in Baltimore, falling 38-6 as 7-point underdogs as the Under (47) connected. Cleveland has posted a 9-2 straight up and 5-6 ATS mark in its 11 games since.
  • The past three games in Cleveland have each had weather issues, with wintry mix conditions in Week 8 and Week 10, and a steady shield of cold rain in Week 11 holding scores down. Precipitation won’t be an issue on Monday night, but temperatures will be around 30 degrees with a northwest wind off of Lake Erie blowing 20-30 mph which will likely affect the passing game for both sides.
  • With a strong, cold wind we are likely to see a mostly ground-based attack for both sides. The Browns rank second in the NFL with 157.8 rushing yards per game, and they’re eighth against the run with 104.3 yards per game allowed. The Ravens are No. 1 in the league with 169.0 rushing yards per game, and they yield just 111.6 yards per game on the ground to rank 13th in the league.
  • The Under is 8-2 in Baltimore’s past 10 against AFC foes, and 6-2 in the previous eight on the road. In addition, the Under is 4-1 in their past five road games against a team with a winning overall mark.
  • The Under is 10-4 in Cleveland’s past 14 as an underdog while cashing in six of their past eight against teams with a winning record. The Under is also 3-1-1 in Cleveland’s last five appearances on MNF. In addition, the Under is 6-2 in the past eight in this series, including the first installment this season in Week 1.

Ravens at Browns: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Ravens 23, Browns 19

Money line (?)

The RAVENS (-170) aren’t a bad play at this price point. While the Browns (+135) are a totally different team this season, guaranteed of a winning record for once, they haven’t fared very well against the top teams in the AFC North.

They have lost their two games against the Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers this season by a combined score of 76-13. Unfortunately, until they start beating the good teams on a regular basis, there is always doubt about their legitimacy.

Against the spread (?)

The RAVENS -3.5 (-105) will likely keep it on the ground for a majority of the night with those icy winds blowing off of Lake Erie. That’s just fine for the league’s No. 1 rushing team.

They ran roughshod over the Dallas Cowboys last week in a 34-17 win, piling up 294 yards, including 94 from QB Lamar Jackson, who has no problem tucking it and booking.

Over/Under (?)

UNDER 45.5 (-110) is the best play on the board here. The winds will be gusting, the passes and the kicking game will be affected, and we should see a mostly ground-based attack. Running the ball means running the clock, and that’s good news for Under bettors.
