Rangers at Marlins Game 2 picks and predictions
Prediction
Rangers 3, Marlins 2
Money line
RANGERS (-120) is where I’m leaning in this game with Texas having a couple of hitters in SS Corey Seager and 1B Nathaniel Lowe that excel against left-handed pitchers. In a game that’s basically a coin flip, I’ll take the team that has more talent.
Run line/Against the spread
PASS on taking the spread in this game with Miami having -175 odds to keep it within a run. While I believe the Marlins do keep it close, it isn’t worth taking with those kids of odds.
Before losing to the Mets by a combined score of 20-6 in their last 2 games, the Marlins lost by 1 or 0 runs in 3 of their previous 4 losses.
Over/Under
UNDER 6.5 RUNS (+115) looks like the move in this contest with both teams struggling to manufacture runs recently. Even though both teams have pitchers that haven’t made a start since early August, loanDepot park is a pitcher-friendly environment.
