6 Rams ranked among PFF’s top 101 players of 2020

Aaron Donald led the way, followed by Andrew Whitworth and John Johnson.

With the 2020 season wrapping up on Sunday after the Buccaneers beat the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV, Pro Football Focus put a bow on things by releasing its top 101 players of the year. It’s strictly based on players’ performances in 2020, not accounting for any past seasons they may have had.

The Rams were well-represented on the list, with six players making the cut. Aaron Donald was predictably the highest-ranked player, but who were the other five to make it?

Check out the list below.

Rams players celebrate playoff win vs. Seahawks on Twitter

The Rams are moving on to the divisional round where they could face the Green Bay Packers next.

With almost everyone picking the Seahawks to win, the Rams pulled off a remarkable upset over Seattle on Saturday afternoon in the wild-card round, the third postseason victory of Sean McVay’s career as a head coach.

After the 30-20 win, Rams players took to Twitter to celebrate the victory, sharing various messages with their followers on the social media platform. Terrell Lewis is thrilled that L.A. is 1-0 in what Cooper Kupp called the “second season,” advancing to the divisional round where they could meet the Packers at Lambeau Field.

Here’s how Rams players reacted to the win on Twitter.

8 Rams players who deserve to be selected to Pro Bowl

The Rams have put together a great season in 2020 and they have several strong candidates for the Pro Bowl.

The regular season is winding to a close, and so too is voting for the Pro Bowl. The best teams typically send the most players to the game, and the Los Angeles Rams are certainly deserving of having more than just a couple selected.

Here are eight players who should get strong consideration in fan voting, as well as voting by players and coaches.

Rams players give back by donating $750K to LA social justice non-profits

Rams players came together to donate nearly $1 million to social justice non-profit organizations in L.A.

Supporting the community has been a big point of emphasis for the Los Angeles Rams under coach Sean McVay and players have responded in the right way by regularly giving back in a number of ways.

They continued their support of the local L.A. community this year by making a huge donation to non-profit organizations in the area that support social justice. Together, players pooled $750,000 to give back to 25 organizations that are fighting for racial equality and committed to creating change. The process was led by Michael Brockers, Andrew Whitworth, Johnny Hekker and Sebastian Joseph-Day.

It’s part of “Giving Tuesday” and to share the news of this generous donation, the Rams tweeted a heart-warming video of Whitworth telling members of those organizations that they’re receiving between $20,000 and $50,000 from Rams players.

In a statement released by the Rams, Whitworth applauded his teammates for coming together to make this happen and shared how much he has learned from this process.

“In my 15 years in the NFL, this has definitely been one of the most inspiring things that I have had the opportunity to be part of,” said Whitworth.  “It was an amazing process that allowed us to learn about a variety of non-profits working across Los Angeles to positively impact lives and advance social justice. The chance to hear directly from them on how we could help left us both humbled and motivated. On behalf of my teammates, we thank them for their daily passion and commitment to drive equity and are proud to support their important work.”

Among the organizations to receive a donation from the Rams are A Place Called Home, Brotherhood Crusade, College Track and Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA). They each were awarded $50,000, as were the SoLa I Can Foundation and Homeboy Industries.

Rams 2020 midseason awards: MVP, best rookie, most underrated

Handing out awards and superlatives from the first half of the Rams’ 2020 season.

The Rams have gotten off to a 5-3 start in 2020, which for most people is a disappointing record. They could very easily be 6-2 if not for a controversial pass interference penalty against the Bills, but they are what their record shows.

There’s plenty of reason for hope after the first half of the season, especially after seeing how some of their individual players performed. To put a bow on the first eight games of the year, we handed out midseason awards for things such as MVP, top offensive player and the most underrated player.

Rams players react to Week 7 win over Bears on Twitter

Jalen Ramsey called it a “great team win.”

There was probably a very different feeling in the Rams’ locker room following last weekend’s loss to the 49ers compared to Monday night’s victory over the Chicago Bears. It was a deflating loss in San Francisco that left Sean McVay, Aaron Donald and Jared Goff – among others, of course – dejected heading into Week 7.

But they bounced back in a big way on Monday against the Bears, crushing the NFC North-leading squad at SoFi Stadium. They won wire-to-wire, beating the Bears 24-10 at home.

The score shouldn’t have even been that close, if not for a Robert Woods fumble that was returned for a touchdown. But alas, a win is a win, even if it should’ve been by a wider margin of victory.

Here’s how Rams players reacted to the win on Twitter afterward, with the majority of them calling it a “great team win.”

It could be a while before we see Rams players wearing their new uniforms on the field with all the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, but players gave fans a sneak peek thanks to the wonderful tool that is Photoshop.

After the uniforms were revealed Wednesday, several players shared photos of themselves wearing the new threads. Johnny Hekker, for instance, posted this picture of himself punting the ball away while wearing the new uniforms.

They look similar to the throwbacks, but the new horns on the helmet and shoulders, as well as the gradient numbers and pants striping, differentiate them.

Jalen Ramsey also shared a preview of himself wearing both the “bone” and the royal uniforms, using a photo from last season with the Rams.

Josh Reynolds and Cooper Kupp will both be wearing new jersey numbers next season, switching back to the numbers they each wore in college. Reynolds will wear No. 11, while Kupp is going back to No. 10.

Here’s how Reynolds and Kupp will look in their new jersey numbers.

Finally, Woods shared four photos of himself in each uniform combination – from all-royal to all-off-white.

He’s clearly excited about the new uniforms and even though these pictures are photoshopped, it’s still awesome to see how players will look in the new threads.

Here are some of the other player reactions to the uniforms on Twitter.
