Rams injury report: Tyler Higbee (hand) still limited Thursday

Tyler Higbee’s availability for Sunday’s game remains in question.

It’s possible the Rams will go a second straight week without their top tight end in the starting lineup. Tyler Higbee popped up on the injury report last week with a hand issue, which caused him to miss Monday’s game against the Bears.

To open this week, Higbee was listed as limited Wednesday – though it was an estimation because the Rams held a walk-thru instead of a regular practice. However, he remained limited on Thursday, which continues to bring his availability into question.

Trishton Jackson and Gerald Everett returned to practice Thursday after sitting out Wednesday’s walk-thru with an illness. Here’s the full injury report for both the Rams and Dolphins.

Rams injury report: Tyler Higbee still hindered by hand injury

The Rams released their first injury report of the week after holding a walk-thru on Wednesday.

The Rams have a short week to prepare for their upcoming opponent, the 3-3 Miami Dolphins, after beating the Chicago Bears on Monday night. As a result, Sean McVay gave his players a lighter day of work on Wednesday, only holding a walk-thru to kick off the week.

Tyler Higbee participated but on the Rams’ estimated injury report, he was listed as limited. He’s been dealing with a hand injury, which caused him to miss Monday’s game against the Bears. McVay said Higbee is still recovering from the injury and didn’t give an indication as to whether he’ll be able to play against Miami.

Elsewhere on the injury report, Gerald Everett and Trishton Jackson missed the walk-thru with illnesses.

For the Dolphins, there aren’t any major injury concerns, especially since they were off in Week 7, giving their players an extra week to recover from any ailments they might have.

DeVante Parker and Kyle Van Noy were both limited, but it’s still early in the week so they have plenty of time to get up to full speed for Miami.

Rams injury report: Darrell Henderson, Tyler Higbee sit out Thursday’s practice

The Rams were without Tyler Higbee and Darrell Henderson on Thursday.

Sean McVay said the Rams came out of their loss to the San Francisco 49ers clean with no notable injuries to report besides the typical bumps and bruises. Those minor issues were enough to keep two key players out of practice on Thursday, though.

Darrell Henderson (thigh) and Tyler Higbee (hand) both missed the first practice of the week, being listed as non-participants Thursday. McVay didn’t give any indications that either player got hurt against the 49ers, so hopefully they’re just minor ailments.

They were the only two players listed with injuries. Andrew Whitworth and Aaron Donald got a day of rest, as they typically do to start the week.

There are far more injury concerns on the Bears’ side, with several key players sitting on Thursday. Some were not injury-related, but Buster Skrine, Akiem Hicks and Deon Bush are players to watch as the week progresses.

With the game taking place on Monday night, the Rams will practice next on Friday and Saturday before getting Sunday off.

Rams Week 6 injury report: Micah Kiser questionable but expected to play

The Rams expect to have Micah Kiser back on Sunday night against San Francisco after he missed Week 5.

The Los Angeles Rams are just a couple of days away from taking on the San Francisco 49ers as they get ready for their first NFC West matchup of the season. They practiced for the final time of the week on Friday, continuing their preparation and game-planning for San Francisco.

Micah Kiser and Bobby Evans were limited on Wednesday to start the week, but both of them full participants on Friday and are good to go.

Kiser is listed as questionable, but Sean McVay expects him to play against the 49ers. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, who is going on injured reserve with an elbow injury, has been ruled out, of course.

Here’s the full injury report, which includes the 49ers’ side of things. Jimmy Garoppolo was a full participant all week and is healthy for this matchup, while Kwon Alexander and Dontae Johnson have already been ruled out.

McVay said Friday that assuming Kiser is able to play against the 49ers, he will get the start at inside linebacker. Troy Reeder could still get some playing time and Kenny Young is likely to be the No. 2 LB, but Kiser will reclaim his role as the starter.

Kickoff on Sunday night is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.

Rams injury report: Micah Kiser limited but on track to play vs. 49ers

Micah Kiser was a limited participant on Wednesday but barring a setback, he’ll play against San Francisco.

The Los Angeles Rams held their first practice of the week on Wednesday as they prepare to take on the San Francisco 49ers in their first divisional game of the season. There were predictably some notable names missing from the session after the Rams placed Jordan Fuller on IR Tuesday and Sean McVay announced Wednesday that Ogbonnia Okoronkwo will be out 4-6 weeks with an elbow injury.

On a more positive front, though, Micah Kiser was able to practice, which is a good sign for his availability in Week 6. Even though he was limited, it sounds like he’ll be able to play on Sunday in San Francisco. McVay said barring a setback, he’ll be back in the starting lineup this weekend.

Bobby Evans was also limited with a shoulder injury and should be back after missing one game, too. Below is the full injury report for the Rams and 49ers, which also shows Jimmy Garoppolo as a full participant and Kwon Alexander as missing practice with an ankle injury.

Rams injury report: Both starting LBs miss practice, Akers returns Wednesday

There are heightened concerns about the Rams’ linebacker group in Week 5.

There were concerns about the Rams’ inside linebacker group heading into the 2020 season, and that was before Travin Howard went down for the year with a torn meniscus. Now, those concerns are heightened even further heading into Week 5.

Starting linebackers Micah Kiser and Kenny Young both missed practice on Wednesday, which is certainly worrisome. Kiser suffered strains to his groin and pectoral in Sunday’s win over the Giants, while Young got his knee banged up.

Additionally, Bobby Evans was sidelined with a shoulder injury, which Sean McVay says occurred on a field goal attempt Sunday. On the bright side, Cam Akers was back at practice for the first time since Week 2, though he was limited Wednesday. Jordan Fuller was a full participant, as well.

Here’s the full injury report, which also includes rest days for Aaron Donald and Andrew Whitworth.

McVay said Monday that he expects Fuller and Akers to be on the field Sunday against Washington, but he didn’t sound so certain about Kiser and Young. Their statuses will be closely monitored heading into the weekend.

Rams injury report: Akers still sidelined, Fuller limited Wednesday

The Rams held their first practice on Wednesday but are still without Cam Akers.

The Los Angeles Rams have begun preparation for the 0-3 New York Giants this week, practicing for the first time on Wednesday. Coming off a loss to the Bills in Buffalo, the Rams have their sights set on a 3-1 start.

They were shorthanded to start the week of practice, however, with some key players sitting out Wednesday. Sean McVay said Cam Akers remains day-to-day with a rib injury, while Jordan Fuller is still recovering from a shoulder injury that he suffered Sunday.

Akers sat out practice once again, while Fuller was limited – a positive sign for his availability Sunday.

Sebastian Joseph-Day and Josh Reynolds were also non-participants, though Reynolds’ absence was for an illness. Joseph-Day tweaked his ankle in Sunday’s loss.

Terrell Lewis was back at practice for the first time since being placed on the non-football injury list, which is good news. The Rams designated him to return, giving them a 21-day window to add him to the 53-man roster.

Check out the full injury report below.

Rams injury report: Gerald Everett questionable vs. Eagles

The Rams are relatively healthy for the second week in a row.

For the second week in a row, the Los Angeles Rams have no major injury concerns heading into game day. Despite Gerald Everett missing one day of practice and being limited on Thursday, the Rams still listed him as questionable.

Everett was a full participant in the final practice of the week but Sean McVay indicated Thursday that he should be good to play against Philadelphia.

The Eagles are also in much better shape this week than they were in the season opener. Lane Johnson and Miles Sanders are both expected to play against the Rams, as is Jason Peters. For a team that gave up eight sacks and struggled to move the ball on the ground, that’s great news.

Here’s the final injury report of the week.

Rams injury report: Darrell Henderson practices for 2nd straight day

Darrell Henderson appears on track to play Sunday.

Aside from Travis Howard and Terrell Lewis being out with injuries, the Rams have stayed relatively healthy this offseason. The only player with any availability doubt for Week 1 is Darrell Henderson, and even he seems on track to play Sunday.

Henderson has been nursing a hamstring injury and missed more than two weeks of practice, but he’s been a full participant the last two days.

That’s a great sign for his chances of playing and is along the lines of Sean McVay’s optimism. Here’s a look at Thursday’s injury report.

The Cowboys are relatively healthy, too, with Jourdan Lewis being the only key player battling an injury. His status is worth monitoring, as he could be the one covering Cooper Kupp in the slot.

Rams release final injury report of 2019 season

Troy Hill is the only concern for Sunday’s season finale.

The week started with a lengthy injury report for the Los Angeles Rams, but it turns out the majority of those ailments were minor. On the final injury report of the week, only three players carry designations into Sunday’s season finale.

Darrell Henderson Jr. and Jalen Ramsey have both been ruled out, as expected, while Troy Hill is listed as doubtful to play. Andrew Whitworth, Michael Brockers, Eric Weddle and Bobby Evans are all good to go for Sunday after being full participants Friday.

Todd Gurley got his usual day off, but he’s expected to play against the Cardinals.

Sean McVay is going to play it safe with players who are banged up, keeping them from unnecessary wear and tear in a game that doesn’t carry any playoff implications.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at the Coliseum.
