Rams injury report: Brian Allen still out, Darious Williams limited

Brian Allen missed practice for the second straight day, while Darious Williams popped up on the injury report as a limited participant.

With their game being on Monday night this week, the Rams pushed everything back a day as they prepare for the 49ers. Their second practice of the week was held on Friday and they’ll wrap things up on Saturday before heading up to Santa Clara.

On Friday’s injury report, there were six players listed but only three weren’t full participants. Brian Allen remains out with an elbow injury, putting his status for Monday in question. Von Miller returned to practice in a limited capacity, while Buddy Howell went from limited to full.

Darious Williams popped up on the report with an ankle injury and was limited on Friday.

Below is the full injury report for both the Rams and 49ers.

For the 49ers, George Kittle and Josh Norman were limited for the second straight day. Dre Kirkpatrick was a non-participant with an ankle injury, as was Tavon Wilson with a foot injury.

Rams injury report: Sebastian Joseph-Day DNP on Wednesday

Sebastian Joseph-Day was held out of practice Wednesday with a knee injury.

The Los Angeles Rams opened the week of practice on Wednesday as they prepare to take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium. There were no major injuries suffered in their Week 1 win over the Chicago Bears, a great sign considering the number of players who went down on other teams in the opener.

On Wednesday’s injury report, Sebastian Joseph-Day was the most notable name. He banged up his knee in the win over Chicago and the Rams are being smart with him by giving him a lighter workload this week before kickoff in Week 2.

He was held out of the first practice, as were Andrew Whitworth, Terrell Lewis and Aaron Donald for rest.

A’Shawn Robinson was also limited with a knee injury.

Robinson was active against the Bears but he played just 23 snaps, so he’s likely not fully recovered from his knee procedure.

Rams injury report: A’Shawn Robinson limited Thursday

The Rams released their second injury report of Week 1 and A’Shawn Robinson is making progress.

The Rams are just three days away from their season opener against the Bears and the injury report looks clean for Week 1. There are only four players listed and two of them simply got rest days on Wednesday.

In the second practice Thursday, A’Shawn Robinson was upgraded to limited after missing Wednesday’s session with a knee injury. He’s expected to play against the Bears, according to Sean McVay.

Andrew Whitworth and Terrell Lewis returned to practice Thursday after getting the first day off. Ben Skowronek continues to be limited as he recovers from a broken forearm.

The Rams are clearly in good shape entering Sunday’s matchup with the Bears and it doesn’t appear any key players will miss the game.

Rams injury report: Jared Goff, Micah Kiser questionable vs. Seahawks

Jared Goff’s status for Saturday’s game remains up in the air.

Jared Goff is not even two weeks removed from thumb surgery on his throwing hand, but he’s still in the mix to play for the Rams on Saturday in their wild-card game against the Seahawks. On the team’s final injury report of the week, Goff is officially listed as questionable to play.

The same goes for Micah Kiser, who hasn’t played since Week 11 when he injured his knee. Troy Reeder has filled in for Kiser during his absence and played well.

Goff and Kiser are the only Rams players listed on Friday’s report, which is a good sign for Cam Akers, David Edwards and Joe Noteboom, all of whom were at least limited during the week.

Sean McVay has said he won’t reveal the Rams’ starting quarterback prior to kickoff at 1:40 p.m. PT on Saturday, and Goff’s questionable status gives no indication which way the Rams are leaning. John Wolford showed he can succeed in the Rams’ win over the Cardinals in Week 17, which complicates things for L.A.

Goff was throwing in practice Wednesday and Thursday, which is an indication that his thumb is at least feeling OK.

The last game Goff played this season also came against the Seahawks, a 20-9 loss in Week 16 that eliminated the Rams from NFC West contention. He completed 24 of 43 passes for 234 yards and one interception, showing remarkable toughness to play through his thumb injury.

He even popped his dislocated thumb back into place at one point and never missed a snap. His toughness isn’t a factor here, and it’s more about his ability to properly grip and throw the ball without being impeded by the injury.

Rams injury report: Cam Akers, Leonard Floyd questionable vs. Cardinals

Leonard Floyd had abdominal pain Friday and is questionable for the season finale.

There are question marks galore as the Rams get ready to face the Cardinals in Sunday’s season finale. In addition to being without Jared Goff, Cooper Kupp, Michael Brockers and Darrell Henderson, two other starters are also questionable.

Sean McVay said Friday that Cam Akers is questionable for Sunday’s game, with his status likely coming down to a game-time decision. Leonard Floyd was a new addition to the injury report Friday after he experienced abdominal pain before practice, causing him to sit out the session.

He’s also questionable for this weekend’s game, which would be a big blow to a Rams defense that’s already missing one of its top run defenders, Brockers, against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals’ ground game.

Despite being activated off IR, Micah Kiser has been ruled out for the season finale, too.

Rams injury report: Cam Akers making progress but uncertain for Sunday

Cam Akers was held out of practice on Wednesday as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

The Los Angeles Rams took the field on Wednesday to open Week 17 and held a walk-through instead of a regular practice. As a result, the first injury report is just an estimation of participation had the Rams practiced in full.

Jared Goff has already been ruled out due to a thumb injury, so he was a non-participant. Cam Akers is battling an ankle injury and was also listed as DNP. Sean McVay said Wednesday that Akers is “making great progress,” but his status for Sunday’s finale “still uncertain.”

The Rams are already without Darrell Henderson Jr., who’s on injured reserve, so having Akers would be a huge boost if he’s able to play.

As for the rest of the injury report, Micah Kiser was a non-participant after being activated off IR. Malcolm Brown and David Edwards were limited, but they should be OK for Sunday.

Andrew Whitworth returned to practice but hasn’t been activated off IR yet, so he isn’t required to be listed on the injury report. McVay suggested he won’t play this week, nor will Kiser.

Rams injury report: Okoronkwo likely to play this week, Joseph-Day limited

The Rams are looking fairly healthy heading into Week 13.

All things considered, the Los Angeles Rams are fairly healthy at this point in the season. Sure, they’re without Andrew Whitworth, Terrell Burgess and Taylor Rapp, but they’re not exactly banged up given that it’s Week 13.

And even though Terrell Lewis is considered week-to-week, the Rams are set to get back some help at outside linebacker. Sean McVay said Wednesday that the team expects to get Ogbonnia Okoronkwo back this week against the Cardinals.

He’s currently on injured reserve and has been designated to return, meaning he can be activated at any moment. He’s been practicing with the team as he works his way back from elbow surgery stemming from an injury suffered in Week 5.

He seems excited to be back, too, tweeting this Wednesday.

Elsewhere on the injury front, Sebastian Joseph-Day was limited in practice with a hip issue. Brian Allen remains limited with a knee injury, while Lewis is still sidelined with a knee injury of his own.

The Rams aren’t 100% healthy, but things could be worse this late in the season.

Rams injury report: Higbee questionable, Lewis doubtful vs. 49ers

The Rams did not practice Friday due to COVID-19 concerns.

The Los Angeles Rams canceled practice on Friday out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19 testing, so their week of practice was much lighter than usual. Tyler Higbee and Terrell Lewis both missed practice on Thursday, which was the team’s only real session of the week after holding a walk-through Wednesday.

And so Friday’s injury report was only an estimation of players’ participation, with injury designations being handed out for two players. Higbee has an elbow injury and will be a game-time decision on Sunday, with the Rams listing him as questionable.

Lewis has knee swelling that popped up this week, which needed to be drained. It’s the same knee that has given him trouble in the past, so that’s certainly a concern.

Lewis is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game.

Floyd and Lewis questionable but expected to play vs. Seahawks

There are no real injury concerns for the Rams heading into Sunday’s game against Seattle.

It’s not much of a surprise, but the Los Angeles Rams are relatively healthy coming out of their Week 9 bye. Darrell Henderson has recovered from his quad injury, Cooper Kupp is feeling good despite being banged up before the bye, and both Jordan Fuller and A’Shawn Robinson are set to return against the Seahawks on Sunday.

Leonard Floyd and Terrell Lewis are listed as questionable for this matchup with Seattle after they both popped up with injuries. Floyd tweaked his knee and Lewis has a shoulder issue, but Sean McVay said Friday that both are expected to play. Lewis was the only player limited in practice to close out the week.

Kupp and Henderson will also play, as McVay has indicated throughout the week.

On the Seahawks’ side, there are far greater injury concerns. They have already ruled out center Ethan Pocic and cornerback Shaquill Griffin, who are two key starters on each side of the ball.

That weakens an already-shaky offensive line and secondary for the Rams to attack on Sunday afternoon.

Rams injury report: Tyler Higbee to be game-time decision Sunday

Tyler Higbee is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

The Rams held their final practice of the week on Friday before they head out to Miami for Sunday’s matchup with the Dolphins. Tyler Higbee is the only player currently battling an injury, with his hand issue limiting his work in practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

He was on the field Friday, which is a good sign, but he’s still not certain to play against the Dolphins. He’s listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, just as he was for Week 7 against the Bears – a game he wound up missing due to his hand injury.

Sean McVay said Higbee will be a true game-time decision against the Dolphins.

Also on the injury front, A’Shawn Robinson will be activated to the 53-man roster but isn’t certain to play Sunday.

McVay said if not this week then definitely against the Seahawks after the Week 9 bye.
