Watch highlights from Rams’ back-and-forth win vs. Chargers

The Rams and Chargers traded punches on Saturday night, but it was the Rams who came out on top

Saturday night was the Bryce Perkins Show at SoFi Stadium. He was the only Rams quarterback to take the field against the Chargers, with Matthew Stafford, John Wolford and Luis Perez all getting the night off.

Perkins took advantage of the extended look in the preseason opener, leading the Rams to a 29-22 win. He played a part in three of the team’s four touchdowns, throwing for two scores and rushing for one, too.

Lance McCutcheon might’ve been the star of the night, however. The undrafted rookie receiver caught five passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns, the first of which was a 60-yard bomb that he caught over a defender.

The defense was a mixed bag of good and bad plays, but it came up when the Rams needed a stop most late in the fourth quarter.

If you missed the back-and-forth game, which featured two lead changes and three ties, check out 10 minutes of highlights below.

Here’s a look at their 10 best plays of the season.

Watch highlights from Rams’ thrilling playoff win vs. 49ers

The Rams came back to beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship, earning a spot in the Super Bowl. Check out highlights from the thrilling win.

Unlike last week’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Los Angeles Rams didn’t jump out to a big lead over the San Francisco 49ers. Instead, they fell behind by 10 points in the second half of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

They trailed 17-7 in the fourth quarter, putting themselves in a difficult position against a physical and tough opponent. But the Rams offense put together three scoring drives and the defense held the 49ers to zero points in the fourth quarter, completing the comeback at SoFi Stadium.

It was a thrilling game filled with drama down to the last second, and the Rams came out on top, 20-17. It would’ve been a heartbreaking way for their season to end, but Aaron Donald, Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp wouldn’t let Sunday be the end of the road.

If you missed this marquee matchup, be sure to check out highlights from the victory below. You don’t want to miss Kupp’s two touchdowns or Travin Howard’s game-sealing interception.

Watch: Rams fool 49ers on 4th-down TD with perfect play design

The Rams gambled on fourth down against the 49ers, turning it into a 2-yard touchdown from Stafford to Higbee.

The Los Angeles Rams know it’s going to be tough to beat the San Francisco 49ers with field goals, so Sean McVay gambled on fourth down deep in enemy territory.

On fourth-and-1 from the 49ers’ 2-yard line, McVay called the perfect play to get Tyler Higbee open in the end zone. Matthew Stafford faked the handoff to perfection, drawing everyone up, and Higbee leaked out uncovered for the touchdown.

Take a look at the play below, which put the Rams up 10-0 on the 49ers early in the second quarter.

If you missed Rams-Raiders on Saturday night, catch up with highlights from L.A.’s 17-16 loss.

Coming off a loss to the Chargers in the preseason opener, the Rams were hoping to bounce back by beating the Raiders at SoFi Stadium on Saturday night. Unfortunately, they came up just short after a near-comeback in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

Bryce Perkins almost pulled it off when he hit Jacob Harris for a touchdown to make it 17-16 with 14 seconds to play. However, the Rams went for two, once again targeting Harris in the end zone.

The fade fell incomplete and the ensuing onside kick was recovered by the Raiders, sealing the win for Las Vegas. Perkins played the entire game and showed a ton of potential, while Chris Garrett, J.R. Reed and Bobby Brown made clutch plays on defense.

The Rams and Chargers squared off in Week 1 of the preseason on Saturday night, the first game ever with fans at SoFi Stadium. There were understandably some growing pains and rust to be knocked off both offensively and defensively, but the Rams showed some good things, particularly on defense.

The final score isn’t nearly as important as what happened throughout the game, with rookies, veterans and players on the bubble trying to secure spots on the 53-man roster. The Rams wound up losing, 13-6, but there was plenty to be encouraged about.

Tutu Atwell joins the Rams as their new speed threat at wide receiver, bringing 4.32 speed to the offense.

Adding speed on offense was a major priority for the Los Angeles Rams this offseason and they wasted no time bringing in a big-play threat in the draft.

With their first pick of draft weekend, the Rams took wide receiver Tutu Atwell out of Louisville, a dynamic playmaker with breakaway speed and short-area quickness.

He scored 21 touchdowns in three seasons at Louisville and holds the single-season receiving record for the Cardinals, which he set in 2019 with 1,272 yards. His highlight reel is quite impressive, showcasing his 4.32 speed and ability to stretch the field vertically.

Take a look at his highlights from the 2020 season, which will give you a feel for his speed.

Watch John Wolford’s best plays from historic NFL debut

John Wolford had 231 yards passing and 56 yards rushing in his debut for the Rams on Sunday.

The Los Angeles Rams put their playoff hopes in the hands of John Wolford on Sunday afternoon, needing a win or Bears loss to make the postseason. It was not only Wolford’s first NFL start, but it was the first time he ever took a single snap, too.

After throwing an interception on his first career pass, Wolford settled in and put together a really good performance in place of Jared Goff. He became the first quarterback in league history to throw for 200-plus yards and rush for 50-plus yards in his NFL debut, which puts into perspective how well he played against the Cardinals.

He helped lead the Rams to an 18-7 victory and punched their ticket to the playoffs, looking especially good on third down. If you missed Wolford’s debut, check out his best plays in the video below.
