Raiders make flurry of re-signings official, add former Broncos LS Jacob Bobenmoyer

Raiders add former Broncos LS Jacob Bobenmoyer, officially re-sign 5 others

It was a busy Saturday for the Raiders. Machine gun style, they rattled off several official re-signings by the team. They were as follows:

FB Jakob Johnson
T Jermaine Eluemunor
C Hroniss Grasu
DT Jerry Tillery
LB Curtis Bolton

In addition, the team announced the signing of long snapper Jacob Bobonmoyer, who appeared in 46 games the past three seasons in Denver.

Of particular interest among the returning players is tackle Jermaine Eluemunor. Though the journeyman veteran had been hinting at his return of late.

Prior to his proclamation that he and Kolton Miller would be “the best Tackle Duo’ in the league this season, he has simply been talking all along like he was going nowhere despite the team letting him reach free agency before making his return official.

The tackle position has been high on many team need lists for the Raiders this offseason, but Eluemunor has seemingly scoffed at the idea, pointing out that he settled in and played pretty well the latter half of last season.

Josh Jacobs says if Raiders get right QB in place he may ‘come back for less’

Sounds a lot like Josh Jacobs would cut Raiders a deal to return if they acquired Aaron Rodgers.

Josh Jacobs is in a pretty good spot right now. Should the Raiders not re-sign him, he will head into free agency as the reigning rushing title holder at the age of 24. But does that mean it’s a foregone conclusion that he will hit the market?

There is, of course, the franchise tag, which is fairly inexpensive for the running back position. But don’t rule out the possibility of Jacobs being re-signed to a long term deal. But whether he agrees to whatever deal the Raiders have to offer will depend on what else the Raiders do to improve the team.

“If we get the right pieces, you know, obviously we got a quarterback situation right now,” Jacobs said in an interview with Jim Rome. “We got some guys that we need on defense and some guys up front, things like that, if we get the right situation, I wouldn’t mind coming back for less or anything like that. But it’s just gotta make sense.”

Hmm, if the Raiders get the right quarterback situation? What, or rather, who could Jacobs have in mind when he says that? There’s one obvious name that comes to mind — Aaron Rodgers.

This isn’t just reading tea leaves either. Jacobs was asked after the Pro Bowl if he would want Rodgers to come to Las Vegas.

“Of course. It’s ARod. You feel me, that’s Aaron Rodgers,” Jacobs said. He’s a dog. If he were to come over here, I feel like that would change the aspect of a lot of things.”

It kind of sounds like it would change the aspect of Jacobs’s decision-making as to whether he wants to return to the Raiders.

List of Raiders free agents who remain unsigned

List of all Raiders free agents unsigned, re-signed, or signed elsewhere

Exactly three weeks ago the free agency negotiating period opened up and players began agreeing to terms with teams across the league. The Raiders participated, signing some 20 outside free agents. But what of their *own* free agents? Most of them have been scooped up, but not all.

So, let’s take a look at who’s still out there.

And just for good measure, we’ll take a look at who signed where including those free agents who the Raiders brought back.
