Rutgers football offered an elite playmaker in Qeanu Johnson on Sunday

Qeanu Johnson is offered by Rutgers football on Sunday.

Qeanu Johnson, a class of 2025 athlete, was offered by Rutgers football on Sunday following a Junior Day event. Johnson is an elite playmaker as a defensive back and a wide receiver.

The athlete is a big-time talent from Hamden Hall (Hamden, Connecticut) who already has a very strong offer list. At 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, he is physical and tough but has agility and speed.

He holds an offer list that includes Boston College, Duke, Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, Syracuse, Yale and West Virginia among others.

Following a Junior Day event that included a strong list of three and four-star recruits on-campus, Johnson posted about his Rutgers football offer:

 

Last year, Johnson had 12 catches for 359 yards and four touchdowns.. He also was strong defensively, with 21 total tackles and 13 passes defended as well as two tackles for a loss and a fumble caused.

This past season, Rutgers took a significant step forward in head coach Greg Schiano’s fourth season back with the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers had a 7-6 (3-5 Big Ten) record while playing the second-toughest schedule in college football.

In the Pinstripe Bowl, they beat Miami 31-24.

Husker offer Connecticut wide receiver

A class of 2025 wide receiver has received a scholarship offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

A class of 2025 wide receiver has received a scholarship offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Qeanu Johnson is a 5-11, 180-pound prospect from Hamden Hall High School out of Hamden, Connecticut.

Johnson had 584 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns while also making contributions on defense and special teams. The receiver has had interest from multiple Big Ten teams, including Indiana and Penn State.

The Connecticut native is planning to visit Happy Valley during the Nittany Lions junior day event on January 20. Nebraska’s class of 2025 has four commits. They are defensive lineman Tyson Terry, athlete Caden VerMaas, running back Conor Booth and athlete CJ Simon.
