It has been 25 years since former Cincinnati Bengals left tackle Anthony Munoz was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame after 13 dominant years in Cincinnati.

To mark the milestone, Munoz will be honored again in Canton, Ohio, this August, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

During his time with the Bengals from 1980-1992, Munoz was selected for 11 straight Pro Bowls, along with making the All-Pro first team nine times.

Munoz is a favorite of Bengals fans since he was the first Bengal to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame. He was voted in during his first year of eligibility in 1998.

Broncos to honor Super Bowl XXXIII team and DeMarcus Ware in Week 2

The Broncos will honor their Super Bowl XXXIII team and Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware in Week 2 this season.

[connatix div_id=”3f8b015acdd24c648befc5d5dac47469″ player_id=”afe1e038-d3c2-49c0-922d-6511a229f69c” cid=”7cbcea0d-4ce2-4c75-9a8d-fbe02a192c24″]

The Denver Broncos will honor the 25th anniversary of the team that won Super Bowl XXXIII, as well as Pro Football Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware on Alumni Weekend in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders this season.

The Broncos similarly honored the Super Bowl XXXII-winning team in 2022.

The second-most recent team to win back-to-back Super Bowls, the 1998 squad may have been one of the most impressive teams in Denver history. In the regular season, the Broncos boasted the second-highest scoring offense in the NFL, along with the eighth-ranked defense. Running back Terrell Davis rushed for over 2,000 yards, kicker Jason Elam tied the then-NFL record with a 63-yard field goal, the team started the season 13-0, and Denver finished the regular season at an impressive 14-2 record.

In the postseason, the Broncos cruised past the Miami Dolphins in the divisional round before winning a nail-biter of a game in the AFC Championship against the New York Jets, 23-10. In the Super Bowl, Denver completely dismantled their NFC foes, the Atlanta Falcons, 34-19. Quarterback John Elway retired following the season, capping a Hall of Fame career.

Also part of the weekend will be honoring the Hall of Fame induction of defensive end DeMarcus Ware. Ware signed with the Broncos as a free agent prior to the 2014 season, giving the team a formidable pass-rushing duo with Von Miller on one side and Ware on the other. Ware was part of the team that won Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers. Ware retired from football after the 2016 season.

The Walton-Penner ownership group has done a superb job with paying homage to Denver’s past, according to Broncos alumni. This is just another example of their commitment to the team’s past, as well as the franchise’s future.

Iconic Justin Jefferson shot wins third in Pro Football Hall of Fame photo contest

A Justin Jefferson dive landed photographer Brad Rempel 3rd in a contest run by the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Football is an art form in and of itself. If you disagree, watch Justin Jefferson run a whip route near the goal line and get back to me.

Speaking of Jefferson, he has become the focal point of this offense under Kevin O’Connell. But that’s not all that he’s become the focal point of.

Brad Rempel, director of photography for the Minnesota Gophers, recently won third place in the action category in the 55th annual Pro Football Hall of Fame photo contest.

This shot of Jefferson epitomizes what he has done for the Minnesota Vikings as one of the leaders of this offense.

As he dives, you can almost feel the electricity as Jefferson converted this two-point conversion against the Chicago Bears.

If you would like to relive this iconic performance from Jefferson, you can find it at this link.

Congratulations to Brad Rempel and everyone whose work was submitted to the contest. If you would like to see more of his work, it can be found at bradrempel.com.

Watch: Tim Brown talks to current Notre Dame football team at practice

You’d like to hear this man speak, right?

[autotag]Tim Brown[/autotag] has the distinct honor of being Notre Dame’s seventh and most recent Heisman Trophy winner, becoming such in 1987. Yes, that’s a long time to go without a Heisman Trophy winner for a program like Notre Dame, but that’s irrelevant to this discussion. What isn’t irrelevant is that Brown, who went on to become a Pro Football Hall of Famer, hasn’t forgotten where he came from. As such, he spoke to the current Irish at their practice:

That’s a man who has perspective. While much of it is a motivational speech that has been delivered in similar ways many times before, Brown was able to apply it specifically to the perspective of a Notre Dame football player.

No, the speech probably won’t be a factor in whether the 2023 Irish compete for a national championship, but it’s important for young players to hear from someone of his stature. Brown is a reminder of what one could be at Notre Dame, and hopefully, at least that part of his speech will stick with the current players.

WATCH: Some of Sonny Jurgensen’s best throws

Sonny was ahead of his time.

When you think of some of the best players and most influential figures of the Washington NFL franchise’s 90-year history, quarterback Sonny Jurgensen is one of the first names that comes to mind.

Jurgensen began his career up north with the hated Philadelphia Eagles, where he played for seven seasons. He was traded to Washington in 1964, and the rest is history. Jurgensen played 11 seasons for the then-Redskins, finishing his career with 255 touchdowns and a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983.

When Jurgensen was done playing, he’d move into the broadcast booth, eventually teaming with fellow Hall of Famer Sam Huff and Frank Herzog to form a legendary trio that called games during the franchise’s glory years. Jurgensen retired from the broadcast booth in 2019.

The team finally retired Jurgensen’s number during Washington’s Week 18 win over the Dallas Cowboys in January.

On Friday, the official NFL Twitter account shared a video of Jurgensen, showing some of the best passes of his legendary career. Check out the first pass.

Talk to any old-school Washington fan, and you’ll come away with a better understanding of Jurgensen’s greatness. How many quarterbacks could do what Jurgensen could do during that era? Not many.

It’s always a good day to celebrate Sonny Jurgensen.

Canton bound? Greg Schiano says that New York Giants legend Tiki Barber should be in the Hall of Fame

Rutgers football head coach Greg Schiano believes that Tiki Barber should be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Greg Schiano believes that not one but two Barbers deserve to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

In an interview last week on WFAN with Tiki Barber and Brandon Tierney, Schiano, the head coach of Rutgers football, believes that a New York Giants star running back has been overlooked for the Hall of Fame. That running back? None other than Barber, who along with his co-host were interviewing the Rutgers head coach.

During his two seasons as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Schiano coached Ronde Barber, the brother of Tiki. Ronde was recently selected to be part of this year’s incoming Hall of Fame class following a career where the cornerback was selected an All-Pro five times and made the Pro Bowl fives time.

“You mentioned your brother man, awesome, awesome player and I learned a lot from him. I really enjoyed coaching him. Now going into the Hall of Fame,” Schiano said on Friday during his interview on WFAN.

“And you should be next – I ain’t kidding you.! When you look  – you know only a few people know it 10,000 rushing yards, 5,000 receiving, 1,000 return and no one’s ever done that in the National Football League. So I’m going to,start the Tiki for the gold jacket.”

At this point, Tierney jumped into the conversation.

“His partner started that a while ago my man, you can join in. You’re behind me coach, alright?” Tierney said with a laugh.

“I’m on a good team then,” Schiano said before the interview ended.

Tiki, a member of the Giants ‘Ring of Honor,’ made three Pro Bowls during his career and once was named an All-Pro.

[lawrence-related id=27249]

He finished his 10 years in the NFL, all with the Giants, with 10,449 rushing yards and 5,183 receiving yards.

He was also incredibly durable, missing only three regular-season games during his decade in the league.

Pro Football Hall of Fame shares tribute to Seahawks legend Cortez Kennedy

The greatest to ever do it for this franchise was Cortez Kennedy.

[anyclip pubname=”2103″ widgetname=”0016M00002U0B1kQAF_M8036″]

The Seahawks have spent much of their energy this offseason trying to improve their defensive tackle group. While they’ve had good ones come through in the years since, the greatest to ever do it for this franchise was Cortez Kennedy, who died six years ago yesterday. Kennedy was an eight-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro, the 1992 Defensive Player of the Year and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the class of 2012.

Watch this tribute to Kennedy from the Pro Football Hall of Fame that they shared yesterday.

DeMarcus Ware to sing national anthem before NFL Hall of Fame Game

Broncos Super Bowl 50 champ and 2023 Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware will sing the national anthem at the NFL Hall of Fame Game in August.

Oh, say can you see?” Yep, we see you, DeMarcus Ware!

Former Denver Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware has been announced as the singer of the national anthem before the 2023 Hall of Fame game featuring the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns on Aug. 3.

According to the team’s official website, Ware has been musical throughout his life, from growing up in Alabama to his time in Denver. Ware is a member of the band “Mirage” and has been known to use his pipes at other events, such as a community event hosted by the Broncos during his playing time in the Mile High City.

Ware is part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2023, which also features offensive visionary Don Coryell, cornerback Darelle Revis, running back Ronde Barber, linebacker Zach Thomas, left tackle Joe Thomas, and senior inductees Chuck Howley, Joe Klecko and Ken Riley.

Ware is the 11th Denver player to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio. Before Ware, quarterback Peyton Manning and safety John Lynch were the latest to be honored with a gold jacket (2021).

Check out one of Ware’s songs from “Mirage” on YouTube.

Notre Dame defensive line target Bryce Young ready to commit

This would be an Irish legacy.

Notre Dame legacies are one of the greatest sources of pride for the university. The football team might be about to land a big one in Bryce Young, the son of Irish legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer [autotag]Bryant Young[/autotag]. Like his father before him, the younger Young is a defensive lineman, and he will announce his college decision Saturday. While USC, Michigan and Tennessee are finalists, many project him to pick to the Irish.

The similarities between Young and fellow Irish target Micah Gilbert don’t stop with who’s seeking their services. Both are four-star 2024 recruits, and both are teammates at Charlotte Christian in North Carolina. Additionally, Gilbert also is projected to pick the Irish when he makes his own decision next week.

Here’s hoping [autotag]Al Golden[/autotag] and [autotag]Al Washington[/autotag] did enough convincing to bring Young to the Irish. We don’t think our own John Kennedy would take him picking the Trojans very well. So for his sake and everyone else’s, we need common sense to prevail.

Donna Kelce’s split Chiefs-Eagles jersey on display in Pro Football Hall of Fame

#Chiefs TE Travis Kelce & #Eagles C Jason Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, now has her iconic split jersey on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. | from @EdEastonJr

The exceptional career of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has most believing he is destined for a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame once his playing career is over. He and his brother, Jason, of the Philadelphia Eagles, have excellent resumes for future enshrinement but won’t be the first of their family to be honored in the hall.

Travis and Jason’s historical clash at Super Bowl LVII, becoming the first brothers to face off in the biggest game, has now been commemorated by the Pro Football Hall of Fame committee. Donna Kelce’s infamous split Eagles and Chiefs jersey, along with her mismatched team shoes, are immortalized officially in Canton, Ohio.

Donna became a national celebrity throughout Super Bowl week, appearing on top talk shows and giving her sons home-baked cookies during media night. She spoke about the unique moment of having her sons battle on the league’s biggest stage during an interview with the Today Show a week before the game.

“Well, you knew it was going to happen eventually to somebody because there’s so many brothers in the NFL right now that are playing at a very high level,” Donna said. “It just, you know, happened to be that we were the lucky ones first, so I think it’s probably going to be more and more prominent.“

A well-deserved honor for Donna and the Kelce family after a first-of-its-kind Super Bowl matchup between brothers.
