A native of Nigeria, Sammons was a two-time MaxPreps All-American while playing at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy in Ohio. After seeing playing time in 2017 and 2018, the 6-foot-7 Sammons has been limited due to injuries. He was expected to compete for playing time this season.
