49ers preseason schedule officially announced

Here’s when we’ll get to watch 49ers football again:

The 49ers on Wednesday officially announced their full preseason schedule for the 2024 season.

San Francisco will have one preseason home game sandwiched between a couple of road trips.

Here’s what their preseason schedule looks like:

Saturday, August 10: at Tennessee Titans, 4:00pm Pacific Time

Sunday, August 18: vs. New Orleans Saints, 5:00pm Pacific Time

Friday, August 23: at Las Vegas Raiders, 7:00pm Pacific Time

Both the Titans and Raiders games will air on KPIX 5 in the Bay Area, while their matchup with the Saints at home will show on FOX.

The 49ers are slated to have joint practices with the Saints in Southern California before facing them at Levi’s Stadium in Week 2 of the preseason, so technically San Francisco will be traveling on some level for all three of their preseason contests before opening up at home against the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

Here’s the Colts’ 3-game preseason schedule in 2024

Here is a look at the Indianapolis Colts’ three-game preseason schedule for the 2024 NFL season.

The Indianapolis Colts will play back-to-back home games to begin the preseason before finishing the exhibition schedule on the road.

Shane Steichen’s team will host the Denver Broncos in Week 1 of the preseason and then the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 before closing things out at the Cincinnati Bengals.

Here is the full preseason schedule for the Colts:

August 11th: vs. Denver Broncos, 1:00 PM
August 17th: vs. Arizona Cardinals, 7:00 PM
August 22nd: at Cincinnati Bengals, 8:00 PM

With the Colts playing eight home games and nine road games during the regular season, they do get two home games during the preseason.

A bit of a scheduling oddity: the Colts will play the Broncos during the preseason and then again in Week 15 of the regular season, but that game will be played in Denver.

Two of the three games will also be played under the lights. In the regular season, the Colts have only one evening game.

The broadcast information for these preseason games will be announced at a later time.

NFL Network broadcasting two preseason games featuring Patriots

The New England Patriots will appear on NFL Network twice during the preseason.

NFL Network released the complete schedule for the 2023 preseason, and the New England Patriots are slated to have two games on the network.

To kick things off, New England will play in Week 1 of their preseason slate on Thursday, August 10 against the Houston Texans. Then they’ll face the Tennessee Titans on Friday, August 25 in their preseason finale.

The Patriots last faced the Texans in October 2021 and came away with a nail-biting 25-22 road victory. In that same season, New England also faced and beat the Tennessee Titans by a 36-13 margin.

New England will look to fire on all cylinders this preseason with the addition of offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien to the picture. These two games could be important building blocks and help set the table for the regular season.

Cowboys announce dates, times for back-and-forth preseason schedule

From @ToddBrock24f7: Dallas will play 2 of 3 preseason games at home, but with extra travel from training camp in Oxnard (and back again) right in the middle.

There’s no elaborate video skit to accompany the news, but the Cowboys have announced the details for their 2023 preseason schedule.

And it will necessitate an extra bit of summer travel.

Players fighting for a roster spot will have three chances to impress coaches in a live-game situation, twice at home and once on the West Coast, all against AFC opponents.

Dallas will kick off its preseason by hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. CT. Next, they’ll travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks the following Saturday evening, and then return home to finish the exhibition slate against the Las Vegas Raiders with a 7 p.m. start on Aug. 26.

Dates for the Cowboys’ annual summer visit to Oxnard have not been finalized, but Todd Archer of ESPN reports that the team will fly home from training camp to play the Jaguars game and then return to California for another week of practice leading up to the Seattle trip before finally coming home for good.

This year’s preseason contests are being squeezed into a busy schedule of major events at JerryWorld. The stadium will play host to a preseason soccer “friendly” between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid as part of the 2023 Soccer Champions Tour on July 29. That match is expected to draw a massive crowd just two weeks before the Cowboys’ preseason opener.

Then, once the Cowboys leave town again and invade the Pacific Northwest over the second preseason weekend, heavy metal band Metallica sets up shop at AT&T for Friday and Sunday concerts, pulling out in time for the team to play their preseason finale against the Raiders six days later.

The Cowboys will then hit the road again, opening their regular season with an away game versus the Giants on Sunday, Sept. 10.
