This should be an interesting contest between these two, Arsenal has come into their form as of late and have been great playing at home. While Leicester has struggled on the road and hasn’t beat the Gunners at home since 1973. Expect Arsenal to give them some trouble today and it wouldn’t surprise me if Arsenal was able to pull out a win against the top three Leicester City.

Manchester City finds itself in unfamiliar territory after losing back-to-back games for the first time in more than a year, but Sunday’s visit with West Ham United should see the team get back to its winning ways. The Citizens have won their last nine meetings with the Hammers and sauntered to a 5-0 win when these teams met in August, with the East Londoners seeking their first points at the Etihad Stadium since Sept. 2015.

It was during the 2015-16 campaign that West Ham clinched four points from two league clashes with City—a trend that ended after Pep Guardiola arrived at the helm the following summer.

The Catalan coach will be without Raheem Sterling for the Week 26 fixture after his star winger was ruled out due to a hamstring injury he suffered during the recent 2-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is suspended after he was sent off following two cautions at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, though Aymeric Laporte could provide a boost if he returns in central defense. Leroy Sane recently returned to City training, but it seems unlikely he’ll be risked on Sunday.

City lost 1-0 at home to rivals Manchester United in the fixture prior to tits Spurs defeat, a more forgivable result given the team still advanced to the Carabao Cup final with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

Nonetheless, West Ham will view City as more vulnerable than usual after successive defeats, and City’s motivation is sure to be dented considering it now sits 22 points below leaders Liverpool.

Jack Wilshere, Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko are still sidelined for the visiting team, meaning Robert Snodgrass and Michail Antonio could keep their places out wide. Winter arrival Tomas Soucek—a loan signing from Slavia Prague—should retain his starting spot in midfield.

David Moyes has faced the Citizens 30 times and boasts an even record of 13 wins and 13 losses (four draws). However, that record has suffered since he left Everton in 2013, losing his past six encounters with City at three different clubs. His teams have lost those six games by an aggregate score of 4-17, never managing to score more than once.

It’s been more than a month since the Hammers beat Bournemouth 4-0 on New Year’s Day, marking their only top-flight win of 2020 so far, and all signs point towards a City resurgence on home turf.

The Mikel Arteta project at Arsenal continues on Saturday as the Gunners travel to Burnley for what is always a tough fixture. Coming off of two pretty good results, the Spaniard is looking for a bit of consistency and normalcy within the squad. Can the team continue on the path of positivity set in recent matches?

A wild 2-2 draw with Chelsea could be the jumpstart Arsenal needs to get the Arteta era headed in the right direction. A hard- fought and gritty performance turned what should’ve been a loss into a very big point. While there are still plenty of questions surrounding the tactics and talent of the squad, the heart and determination shown in that result is exactly what you’d hope to see. Following up that performance with a 2-1 win away from home in the FA Cup against Bournemouth is yet another good sign of progress. Now it’s all about continuing that trend for several more games.

Despite losing their FA Cup fourth round matchup last weekend, Burnley is sitting pretty in the league. The team is on 30 points just like Arsenal and finds itself seven points clear of the relegation zone. In its most recent league match, Burnley beat Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford. That came after an even more impressive 2-1 win over Leicester City. The results are trending in a very good direction. As long as there isn’t a massive dip in form, Burnley’s safety should be secured.

The Premier League title race should be cut down to two after this weekend, as the two closest challengers to Liverpool battle it out for control of the second spot in the table. It might be generous to say Leicester City and Manchester City are even still in contention to catch Liverpool at this point, but whichever team drops points this weekend can likely be considered an afterthought.

The reigning champions find themselves a stunning 14 points off the pace set by Jurgen Klopp’s juggernaut coming into the weekend. More urgently, Manchester City also trails its opponents this weekend by four points in the table. Once again, Leicester City has been the surprise package of the Premier League season. Pep Guardiola’s side will be hoping to squash dreams of another fairytale season.

The goal for Manchester City is pretty clear at this point. It must re-acquire its absolutely perfect form from last season or the chances of a title are gone. The odds of Man City coming back from a 14-point deficit against a side that seemingly won’t lose a league match is already super slim. Another slip up and the team will likely start to focus its efforts and resources on success in the Champions League knockout stages starting in February.

For Leicester, a win over Man City would offer proof that the team isn’t just a team in great form, but a side to be reckoned with. Three points over the perceived only challenger to Liverpool to start the season would send a big message to the leaders and entire league that Leicester is indeed for real. The Foxes are 10 points behind in the title race, and while a win would be a big statement, anything but that could derail the team’s chances in a big way.
