Portugal (-750) should be able to get off to a quick start against the Group E doormat, Vietnam (+2000). However, laying 7 1/2 times your potential return is just not a solid investment for a standalone wager, or even as part of a multi-team parlay. Including Portugal sucks the value right out of your ticket.
PASS, and instead, and if you’re a bit of a conservative bettor, consider PORTUGAL TO WIN TO NIL (-250), although that’s still a little on the expensive side. I like taking the “multiple correct score” prop with PORTUGAL 1:0, 2:0 OR 3:0 (-110) at near even-money.
Over/Under (O/U)
I would take a chance on UNDER 2.5 GOALS (+110) at plus-money. Vietnam did a pretty decent job shutting down the USWNT in the opening match. It was 1-0 until stoppage time in the 1st half, and 2-0 until Lindsey Horan tacked on a late goal at 77′. I think Vietnam is able to keep Portugal to just 2 markers, while Vietnam fails to score again with its toothless offensive attack.
