Blazers at Rockets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Blazers 115, Rockets 111

Money line (ML)

Houston is playing well with PG John Wall back, which is why they have won three in a row. Portland is 4-2 on the road and has alternated wins and losses each of the last six games, and they are coming off a loss. They have not lost two in a row since Jan. 3-5. This is only the sixth time all season the Rockets have been favored. They are 3-2 when favored. Still, I like the Blazers to win, and that gives you the best value too. Take the TRAIL BLAZERS (+155).

Against the spread (ATS)

Portland actually has been one of the worst teams against the spread this season, covering in only six of 16 games. Only Toronto has a worse cover percentage, but Houston is only one game better at 7-9 ATS. The Blazers have failed to cover in their last three games and four of five. Since I like the Blazers to win outright, though, clearly the choice here is to go with them to cover. Take the underdog TRAIL BLAZERS +4.5 (-105).

Over/Under (O/U)

Houston’s Over percentage is 33.3%. Seven of their last nine games have gone Under. Portland’s is 50%, although their games have gone Over in each of their last three. The two teams combine to average under 226 points per game. They give up a combined 226.2 points per game, which makes the 228.5-point total high for this game. Take UNDER 228.5 points (-110).
