Eagles’ RB Miles Sanders talks about the recovery of his close friend Damar Hamlin

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders was able to facetime Damar Hamlin on Friday and talked about his friend’s recovery

Miles Sanders and Damar Hamlin have a relationship that dates back almost ten years before both players became high school football stars in Pittsburgh.

Sanders starred at the legendary Woodland Hills High School, while Hamlin attended a legendary institution in its own right, Central Catholic High School.

Sanders chose Penn State over Pitt, while Hamlin decided to stay home, choosing the Panthers over Penn State, Ohio State, and Temple. Sanders left Happy Valley early after finishing No. 2 in the Big Ten and No. 15 in the nation with 1,274 rushing yards, was ranked No. 4 in the conference, and No. 25 in the FBS with 98.0 rushing yards per game.

The Bills selected Hamlin in the sixth round with the 212th overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft and he became a starter this season.

While addressing the media on Friday, Sanders talked about his close friend’s recovery from cardiac arrest suffered on Monday night.

Sanders and Hamlin were the top two recruits out of Western Pennslyvania in 2016, and the Eagles Pro Bowl running back is somewhat relieved after a difficult week.
