2022 RBC Heritage prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions

Analyzing the odds for the 2022 RBC Heritage with PGA Tour picks and predictions for the top prop bets.

Many of the world’s top players head to Hilton Head this week to tee it up in the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links. Below, we search for the best value prop bets among the 2022 RBC Heritage odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.

The last two RBC winners are in the field. Stewart Cink is the defending champ and Webb Simpson won in 2020. Neither has played particularly well this season, but their track records at this tournament are strong. So, this could be a perfect time to jump-start their 2022 campaigns.

Justin Thomas is the highest Golfweek/Sagarin-ranked player in the field at No. 3. Fifth-ranked Cameron Smith, No. 9 Patrick Cantlay and No. 10 Daniel Berger are also here. Thomas (+1200) is the favorite, followed by Collin Morikawa (+1300), who finished fifth at the Masters last week.

2022 RBC Heritage – Top-10 picks

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 3:36 p.m. ET.

Matt Fitzpatrick (+200)

Fitzpatrick made a late push Sunday at the Masters to finish top-10 for the fifth time this season, all in the last two-plus months. He’s playing extremely well right now, leading the tour in total strokes gained (2.053).

In his last four starts here, he’s only finished worse than T-14 once, tying for fourth last season. I love his value at +200.

Joaquin Niemann (+330)

Niemann has only played this tournament once, tying for fifth in 2020 with a score of 19-under, just 3 off the record-setting number set by Simpson. Niemann started the Masters strong with a 3-under in the opening round, but he faded down the stretch. His ball-striking with his irons will give him an edge this week.

Kevin Na (+500)

Na is a high-risk, high-reward play at this event. He’s finished in the top 10 five times, but he’s also missed the cut three times in his last six appearances here. Though he missed the cut last year, he tied for 10th in 2019 and tied for fourth in 2016.

He’s been hot the last few weeks, making it deep into the WGC match play event and tying for 14th at the Masters despite an unsightly third-round 79.

Other T10 contenders (in order from longest odds to shortest):

  • Russell Henley (+250)
  • Cameron Smith (+175)

[tipico]

2022 RBC Heritage – Top-20 picks

Webb Simpson (+190)

Simpson is not playing his best golf at the moment, which is why I’m much more comfortable betting on him to finish in the top 20 than I am taking him to win. He hasn’t finished better than 35th since last December and, although he’s been good around the greens, his ball-striking is lagging behind.

Simpson is an absolute horse at this course, though, making 11 of 12 cuts and winning the RBC Heritage once.

Denny McCarthy (+350)

McCarthy isn’t among the favorites, but he played well here a year ago, finishing tied for 13th. He also tied for 18th in his last start, at the Valero Texas Open, and ranks 45th in total strokes gained this season. At +350, he’s a good long shot pick to finish in the top 20 compared to others in the field.

Other T20 contenders (in order from longest odds to shortest):

  • Harold Varner III (+230)
  • Si-Woo Kim (+230)
  • Kevin Kisner (+200)

2022 RBC Heritage – Matchups

Matt Kuchar (-110) vs. Adam Hadwin (-110)

Kuchar has begun to pick up some steam as of late, finishing tied for second at the Valero Texas Open and tying for 16th two weeks prior at the Valspar. He loves this event, too, only missing the cut once in 18 tries, with six top 10s. Hadwin is playing well, too, with three straight top 10s, but Kuchar has a good track record here.

Alex Noren (+100) vs.  Billy Horschel (-115)

Noren has three consecutive top-30 finishes at this event and has made the cut in six straight tournaments this season. He’s quietly had a good season with two top 10s, and this matchup with Horschel – who struggled at this tournament from 2014-2020 – is a good one.

Shane Lowry (-115) vs. Corey Conners (+100)

In his last three starts at this event, Lowry has two top 10s and a missed cut. But he’s on a hot streak right now and is favored over the consistent Conners. I like Lowry’s chances to not only contend Sunday, but finish better than Conners.

2022 RBC Heritage – Top European

Matt Fitzpatrick (+380)

For all the reasons listed above, Fitzpatrick is a great pick here. He’s the favorite among Europeans, and his top competition will be Lowry (+400), Tommy Fleetwood (+650) and Tyrrell Hatton (+650). Outside of that group of four, it’s not a particularly strong field of Europeans.

2022 RBC Heritage – First-round leader

Ian Poulter (+7000)

Poulter was tied for fifth after the first round in 2017 and tied for the lead with a first-round 64 in 2020. He’s never missed the cut at this event and, though he’s had his share of struggles this year, it only takes one good round for this bet to cash.

Cameron Smith (+3000)

Smith shot a first-round 62 here last year and was playing very well last week before things went awry in the final round of the Masters. He made eight birdies last Thursday and has the ability to go really low in any given round.

More expert prop bet predictions

Group D winner: Kevin Kisner (+320)

This group features Noren (+300), Horschel (+300), Kisner, Varner III (+380) and Na (+400). While Kisner has the third-best odds to win the group, one could make the case he should be the favorite. Don’t let back-to-back missed cuts at the RBC Heritage the last two years scare you.

Winning margin: 1 shot (+250)

This event typically yields and exciting, close finish. From 2013-2019, the margin was either one shot or there was a playoff in six of those seven years. A 1-shot victory is a solid bet this week.

Tiger Woods: 2022 Masters prop bet picks and predictions

Analyzing Tiger Woods’ odds and prop bets for the 2022 Masters with PGA Tour picks and predictions.

The week began with folks tracking the flight of what was believed to be Tiger Woods’ plane from Florida to Georgia. Since then, Woods has said he’ll tee it up at the 2022 Masters, hoping to complete a remarkable comeback from a horrifying car crash that left Woods’ right leg badly injured.

The fact that he’s even able to play competitively 13 months after that crash is incredible, and he’s become a popular pick to contend this week at Augusta. Below, we break down Tiger Woods’ 2022 Masters odds and prop bets and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.

Woods isn’t fully healthy, even saying that scaling the hills of Augusta National will be a challenge. That’s the hard part for him: Walking 72 holes. However, when asked if he believes he can win this week, he replied very simply: “I do.”

He hasn’t logged an official round since the 2020 Masters that November, so he has some rust to knock off. But anyone who’s doubted Woods before has learned never to do so again.

Tiger Woods’ Masters odds and picks

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday 3:36 p.m. ET.

To win (+5000)

At +5000, Woods is tied for the 19th-best odds to slip on his 6th green jacket Sunday. Anyone else who hasn’t played a competitive round in a year and a half wouldn’t have those short of odds, but this is Tiger Woods.

While it’s fun to picture him winning his 6th Masters and his 2nd in the last 4 years, we also have to be realistic about our expectations for the likely Hall of Famer. Fatigue could set in and/or rust could show up.

I’m not fading Woods, and I’ll sprinkle a little bit on him to win outright for the sake of having a rooting interest Sunday.

Top-5 finish (+900)

Aside from his win in 2019, Woods’ last top-5 showing at the Masters was in 2013. His track record at Augusta is undeniable. He placed T6 eight times during a 9-year stretch between 2005-13, always finding himself in contention. But this week, I’d rather go all-in by betting him to win outright or playing it a little safer to finish top 20.

Top-10 finish (+400)

A top-10 finish comes with decent value at +400. But when Woods finishes in the top 10 at the Masters, he’s typically inside the top 5, too, or wins outright. Of his 14 top-10 finishes as the Masters, he was in the top 5 12 times. For that reason, I’d rather take him to finish top 5 instead of top 10.

Top-20 finish (+150)

I actually like Woods’ odds to finish in the top 20. Yes, the field is loaded, but even in recent years, Woods has remained competitive and in contention. Plus, with the cut only being 50 players, as long as he gets to the weekend, he’ll have a good chance to finish in the top 20.

[tipico]

More Tiger Woods’ odds and predictions

Will Tiger Woods make the cut? Yes -110 | No -125

Yes. Woods can play Augusta with his eyes closed and hasn’t missed the cut at the Masters since – wait for it – 1996! Obviously, he’s playing this week under different circumstances, but still. I think he’ll be playing the weekend because he only has to be better than 41 other players.

Top former winner group (+900)

This is a pretty big group and a talented one, too. But Woods won’t have to contend with most of the top players in the field – guys like Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay and Brooks Koepka.

Dustin Johnson (+240) is the favorite among the former winners, followed by Jordan Spieth (+280), Adam Scott (+650) and 2021 winner Hideki Matsuyama (+700). Woods is tied with Sergio Garcia and Patrick Reed for the fifth-best odds in this group and it’s a good way to bet him to have a good week without competing against the odds-on favorites.

Top American finisher (+3000)

This group excludes some of the top players at the Masters. Rahm, Cameron Smith, McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, Matsuyama and Louis Oosthuizen all have better odds to win than Woods, but by his odds shorten a bit when taking him to be the top American. There’s too much American talent for me to take this bet, though.

More Masters coverage:

Tiger Woods’ Masters first-round odds

  • Leader +5000 (bet $100 to win $5,000)
  • Top American +3000 (bet $100 to win $,3000)
  • Top 5 +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)
  • Top 10 +500 (bet $100 to win $500)
  • Top 20 +200 (bet $100 to win $200)

I’m hesitant to bet any of Woods’ Round 1 lines. We just don’t know what his game is going to look like, nor do we know how he’ll fare walking around Augusta with all of its elevation changes.

Then again, if you take him to be top 20 after the first round, all it takes is a solid 18 holes for that wager to cash at winning ticket, not a full 72 holes.

2022 Masters prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions

Analyzing the odds for the 2022 Masters with PGA Tour picks and predictions for the top prop bets.

The first major of the year is finally here, with the field set for the 2022 Masters at Augusta National. Everyone from Jon Rahm to Tiger Woods and Vijay Singh to Fred Couples will be teeing it up this week, vying to put on the green jacket on Sunday afternoon.

Below, we search for the best value prop bets among the 2022 Masters odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.

The storylines are almost endless this week at Augusta, with Hideki Matsuyama trying to defend his 2021 title, Rory McIlroy attempting to complete the career Grand Slam, Tiger returning from a severe leg injury suffered in a February 2021 car crash and Scottie Scheffler teeing it up as the world No. 1.

Rahm is seeking his second major championship, while Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele will try to win their first. Bryson DeChambeau will look to make up for a disappointing T-46 finish here last year, and Will Zalatoris is back after his tie for 2nd in his Masters debut in 2021.

Augusta tests every part of a player’s game, even if accuracy off the tee isn’t the most important part of this major championship. It takes great iron play, steady putting and a short game that can work magic around these perfect greens.

2022 Masters – Top-5 picks

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 4:18 p.m. ET.

Brooks Koepka (+425)

Don’t fret Koepka’s missed cut at last year’s Masters. That was out of the ordinary for a player who finished in the top-11 in his previous three starts here. Koepka has 12 top-5 finishes in majors during his career, including four wins. He’s never won a green jacket, but that could change this week.

Jordan Spieth (+480)

Spieth’s peculiar pre-shot swing routine makes it look like he’s searching for something, but he’s actually striking the ball well. His track record here is also well-documented, with five top-3s at the Masters since 2014 – including a T-3 last year.

WATCH: PGA Tour is live on ESPN+! Get ESPN+

Marc Leishman (+1200)

Leishman tied for 5th at Augusta last year, his third top-10 at the Masters. He has three other top-10s in majors, all coming at the Open Championship. There are players with much shorter odds to finish top 5, but Leishman offers value at +1200.

Other T5 contenders (in order from longest odds to shortest):

  • Collin Morikawa (+400)
  • Cameron Smith (+350)

[tipico]

2022 Masters – Top-10 picks

Rory McIlroy (+200)

Somehow, McIlroy still doesn’t have a green jacket despite finishing in the top 10 six times at the Masters, all coming since 2014. He’s the king of backdoor top-10s, starting slowly before settling in on Friday and through the weekend. He missed the cut last year, but that was just his second time doing so at the Masters.

Viktor Hovland (+200)

Hovland has been good, not great in majors. He doesn’t have a top 10 yet, but in his two stops at Augusta, he finished tied for 21st and tied for 32nd (low amateur in 2019). He’s been on a heater since the fall, with two wins and six top 20s this season.

Scottie Scheffler (+162)

Scheffler won’t feel any pressure of being the No. 1 player in the world. Not with the way he’s been playing as of late. His odds are a bit juiced due to his hot stretch in the last month or so, but I still like him to finish in the top 10 instead of an outright bet to win.

Other T10 contenders (in order from longest odds to shortest):

  • Tommy Fleetwood (+550)
  • Sungjae Im (+480)

2022 Masters – Top-20 picks

Will Zalatoris (+125)

Part of me still doesn’t trust Zalatoris’ putter, especially on the sloping greens of Augusta. He’s 170th in strokes gained: putting this season and putts inside 5 feet seem to give him more trouble than they should. Yet, here I am, taking him to finish top 20 in his second Masters. His ball-striking is too good to ignore.

Tiger Woods (+170)

Woods will play his first competitive round since the 2021 car accident, and it’s incredible that he’s even able to tee it up and play, let alone potentially compete. But as he said in his press conference, walking around Augusta is the hardest part, not swinging the club. He never plays a tournament he doesn’t think he can win.

Cameron Young (+320)

A fun long-shot play is Young, who pounds the ball off the tee and still manages to keep it in the fairway a good amount of the time. He tied for 2nd twice already this season and could announce himself with a strong showing this week. I love his value for a top-20 finish.

Other T20 contender: Louis Oosthuizen (+140)

2022 Masters – Matchups

Suggested play is golfer in bold.

  • Matthew Fitzpatrick (-120) vs. Adam Scott (+100)
  • Tyrrell Hatton (-110) vs. Russell Henley (-110)

2022 Masters – Top American

Brooks Koepka (+1200)

The talent in American golf right now makes this a really tough pick. Justin Thomas is a great pick at +650 despite being the odds-on favorite to be the top American. But for all the reasons I’m taking Koepka to finish top 5, I like him to be the top American.

2022 Masters – First-round leader

Tony Finau (+5000)

Finau has been, well, not great this season. He doesn’t have a top 20 since January at the limited Sentry Tournament of Champions and has missed three cuts since. But he’ll be at home at Augusta where he has three top 10s. Finau can run hot and cold at times, and all it takes is one good round for this bet to cash.

Si-Woo Kim (+7000)

Very quietly, Kim finished tied for 12th last year despite breaking his putter in the final round. He’s come in the top 35 in each of the last four years here, and he’s someone who can go really low in a given round – he’s 30th in birdie rate this season.

More expert prop bet predictions

Will there be a playoff? Yes: (+300)

There hasn’t been a playoff at the Masters since 2017 and only 17 have happened all time here. But with the gap between the No. 1 player and the 30th-best player in the field being so narrow, I can see this coming down to the wire. A sprinkle at +300 will give you a reason to root for extra holes.

Will there be a hole in one? Yes (-160)

The 16th hole alone has yielded an ace in five of the last six years, with there being eight holes in one at No. 16 since 2016. Corey Conners also aced No. 6 last year, giving the field two holes in one in 2021.

2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions

Looking at the odds for the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play with PGA Tour picks and predictions for the top prop bets.

The 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play begins Wednesday and ends Sunday, hosted by Austin Country Club in the Texas capital. As always, we look for the best value prop bets among the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play odds, and pinpoint our expert picks; check out all SportsbookWire’s PGA Tour picks and predictions.

The event features 64 players divided into 16 groups competing in a round-robin format Wednesday through Friday, with each player playing three 18-hole matches.

They’ll earn 1 point for a win and ½ point for a halved match. The winner from each group will advance to the weekend for single-elimination match play with sudden death playoffs breaking any ties.

Sixteen golfers will play quarterfinal matches Saturday, with semifinals, championship, and consolation matches played Sunday.

2022 WGC Match Play – Expert pick

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday at 12:53 a.m. ET.

Scottie Scheffler is one of the hottest players and looking for a very big week. In 11 starts this year, he’s won twice, finished T25 seven times, T10 five times, and has one runner-up finish. He’s failed to make the cut this season just once.

He won’t have the easiest group to deal with, though, starting against one of the greatest match play competitors in Ian Poulter, then takes on Tommy Fleetwood Thursday before wrapping up the first round with Matt Fitzpatrick on Friday.

A University of Texas graduate, Scheffler finished as runner-up at last year’s WGC, so I expect another strong finish this week. He’s a feasible choice to WIN AT +1500 and worth a look at TOP 4 (+450).

[tipico]

2022 WGC Match Play – Best prop bets

Will there be a hole in one? No (-300)

I normally like the chance for an ace, but as players get knocked out moving into the weekend, that means there will be less opportunities at a hole in one.

Top American: Justin Thomas (+750)

It’s hard to not like Thomas (ranked No. 2 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings), but I also like the odds of Texans Jordan Spieth (+2000) and Scheffler (+900).

Also see: WGC Match Play odds, picks and predictions

Top Asian: Sungjae Im (-145)

With only three Asians in the field – Im, Si Woo Kim (+155) and Takumi Kanaya +750), Im seems a frugal choice.

Top Australian: Adam Scott (+110) or Marc Leishman (+190)

Adam Scott and Marc Leishman both provide a nice return on your investment out of the four Aussie’s who will tee it up.

Group 1 winner: Jon Rahm (+125)

Rahm should come out of a group consisting of Patrick Reed (+280), Cameron Young (+330) and Sebastian Munoz (+350).

Group 8 winner: Max Homa (+230)

Max Homa is the hottest player in this group and will square off against Dustin Johnson (+180), Mackenzie Hughes (+300) and Matthew Wolff (+350).

2022 Valspar Championship prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions

Looking at the odds for the 2022 Valspar Championship with PGA Tour picks and predictions for the top prop bets.

Snakebit late in Monday’s final round of The Players Championship, there may not be a better time to wager on Keegan Bradley as he competes in this week’s 2022 Valspar Championship on the famed Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla. A pair of 68’s over the final two days at The Players earned Bradley a fifth-place finish, but it’s at last year’s Valspar where he finished second, 3 shots behind tournament winner Sam Burns. With Burns lackluster play last week, he would not be someone to back this weekend.

Below we look for the best value prop bets among the 2022 Valspar Championship odds with placings and matchups; check out all our PGA Tour picks and predictions.

First-round Players leader Tommy Fleetwood is a nice proposition for a T10 finish (+425), along with Brooks Koepka (+330). Bradley (+425) and Gary Woodland (+500) also are reasonable choices to play well this weekend – odds courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook.

Additional players with good chances to finish T10 are Louis Oosthuizen (+230) and Tyrrell Hatton (+270). Last season, Oosthuizen finished T8 at the Valspar and finished T42 at The Players last week after a final round 76 derailed any hope for glory. Oosthuizen has been one of the most accurate Tour players this season, hitting 68.03 percent of fairways off the tee, which ranks 11th on Tour. He’s hitting over 70% GIR and averaging 4.33 birdies per round. Those will be invaluable at a Copperhead Course which many say is among the toughest the Tour plays all year long.

2022 Valspar Championship top-10 picks

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Wednesday at 4:22 p.m. ET.

Justin Thomas (+125)

Always a solid pick, he is ranked second in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

Kramer Hickok (+1500)

An opening 67 had him on the first page of the leaderboard last week before the weather turned ugly. This could be a good week to back the relatively unknown Hickok, an Austin, Texas native, who played for the University of Texas.

Also see: Valspar Championship odds, picks and predictions

Brooks Koepka (+330)

Currently ranked 21st in the Golf World Rankings.

Kevin Streelman (+1000)

The pride of Winfield, Ill., this journeyman continues to remain competitive and finished T22 at The Players. He missed the cut at last year’s Valspar, but is hitting his stride in 2022.

Harold Varner III (+600)

Following one of the best weeks of his career, might the Valspar be the big breakthrough for HV3?

Other T10 contenders (in order from longest odds to shortest):

  • Jonas Blixt (+4000)
  • Chesson Hadley (+3000)
  • Robert Streb (+3000)
  • Brian Gay (+3000)
  • J.T. Poston (+2000)
  • Henrik Stenson (+2000)
  • Stewart Cink (+1300)
  • Zach Johnson (+1200)
  • Lanto Griffin (+750)
  • Gary Woodland (+500)

2022 Valspar Championship matchups (72 holes)

The suggested play is the golfer in bold.

  • Jason Kokrak (-110) vs. Matthew Fitzpatrick
  • Xander Schauffele (+125) vs, Viktor Hovland
  • Louis Oosthuizen (-110) vs. Dustin Johnson
  • Justin Thomas (-115) vs. Collin Morikawa

2022 Valspar Championship bonus prop bets

Will there be a playoff? Yes: (+300)

It’s been a while and seems like it’s time for a playoff. I really like this +300 PROP to watch some extra golf Sunday.

Will there be a hole in one? Yes (-115)

We saw some incredible aces at The Players and I predict that trend continues this week on the Copperhead Course.

Round 1 Leader: Justin Thomas (+2000)

Currently ranked eighth in the World Golf Rankings, we see JT getting off to a fast start on Thursday and worthy of a look to lead after 18 holes.

2022 Players Championship prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions

Looking at the odds for the 2022 Players Championship with PGA Tour picks and predictions for the top prop bets.

And in the blink of an eye, the season’s unofficial Major, the Players Championship is upon us. Traditionally one of the hardest tournaments to figure out, it is rich in tradition and has a laundry list of household names who have hosted the trophy at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Below, we search for the best value prop bets among the 2022 Players Championship odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.

Justin Thomas returns to defend his title and continues his excellent ball striking this season. Look for him to be a favorite along with two-time 2022 winner Scottie Scheffler, who is coming off last week’s win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.

Viktor Hovland continues to be one of golf’s promising stars and finished one stroke behind Scheffler last week and is at +2000 to win the Players Championship, per Tipico Sportsbook. Tying Hovland for second was Billy Horschel and Tyrrell Hatton, the two players making the most significant moves up the Fedex Cup rankings. Both have now cracked the Fedex Cup’s 20 and are at +5000 to win this weekend.

Although tough to repeat here, only one player has lower odds to win than Thomas (+1300) and that would be Jon Rahm (+1200). Right behind the duo are Picked to compete for the title last week, Collin Morikawa is at +1500, followed by Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay, Scheffler and Hovland, each at +2000.

Talor Gooch (+550)

A great opportunity to cash in this weekend. Not only did Gooch finish T7 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week but fell apart with a 77 on Sunday. His T5 finish at the Players last year shows that he’s a fan of this course and knows how to navigate its numerous twists and turns. He is ranked 18th in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

Shane Lowry (+425)

Oh, what could have been two weeks ago at PGA National. Lowry ran into a freak downpour as he played the final holes with the lead, only to lose by a stroke to first-time winner Sepp Straka. Lowry finished with rounds of 68 and 69 to grab 8th place at the 2021 Players Championship and should be fresh after taking last week off.

Hideki Matsuyama (+300)

Last week, Hideki finished inside the top 20 in brutal conditions at the Arnold Palmer Invitational where his incredible play over the weekend should be noted. His history at the Players has been erratic to say the least, finishing inside the top 10 in 2019 and 2016 but missing the cut in 2018 and 2021.

Last season, a disappointing opening nine Thursday proved too much to come back from and he would miss the cutline by one stroke. It should be noted that Hideki  led after the first round in 2020, shooting a mind-blowing 9-under while hitting 15 of 18 greens and not missing a putt inside 10 feet.

The tournament would go on to be canceled due to COVID-19, so maybe he’s back to win it all this week. Either way, we like him as a T10 contender.

Daniel Berger (+350)

A T9 finisher at the Players last year, Berger was nearly perfect at The Honda Classic a couple weeks back but hit a wall Sunday and struggled with below average ball-striking, eventually finishing fourth after losing a five-shot lead coming into Round 4 at PGA National.

It was Berger’s second top-5 finish of the year. Last year’s T9 finish in his second start was due to a hot putter, which is going to be key this weekend on Sawgrass’ lightning-fast greens.

Brooks Koepka (+425)

Koepka should be in consideration this weekend. A top-3 finish at the WM Phoenix Open and a 16th at the Honda Classic tells us that he’s back to being one of the world’s best golfers and possibly 100% healthy for the first time this season. He traditionally has putted well and hasn’t missed the cut in his past four tournaments at TPC Sawgrass.

Other T10 contenders (in order from longest odds to shortest):

  • Zach Johnson (+2000)
  • Kevin Kisner (+1300)
  • Justin Rose (+900)
  • Chris Kirk (+750)
  • Sungjae Im (+450)
  • Cameron Smith (+380)
  • Dustin Johnson (+380)

2022 Players Championship top-20 picks

These four golfers are worth a T20 wager.

  • Henrik Stenson (+1200)
  • Tom Hoge (+400)
  • Tony Finau (+280)
  • Louis Oosthuizen (+240)

The suggested play is the golfer in bold.

  • Shane Lowry (+100) vs. Matthew Fitzpatrick
  • Talor Gooch (+100) vs. Billy Horschel
  • Hideki Matsuyama (-120) vs. Dustin Johnson

2022 Players Championship bonus prop bet

Will there be a playoff? Yes: (+350)

Will this be the third weekend in a row without a playoff? There’s too much parity on the Tour. Let’s hope to watch some extra golf Sunday.

2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions

Looking at the odds for the 2022 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational with PGA Tour picks and predictions for the top prop bets.

The Florida swing continues with the popular and star-studded 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational from Bay Hill, teeing off Thursday in Orlando at the resort that Arnold built. Rich in tradition, as well as some of the biggest names in golf who have gone on to win here, below, we’ll look for the best value prop bets in the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational odds, with placings and matchups among PGA Tour picks and predictions.

Defending champ Bryson DeChambeau will not be around to defend his 2021 title – his return is on hold as he continues to heal and recover from injuries to his left hip and left wrist. He is ranked 14th in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

That leaves 2018 champion Rory McIlroy as one of the favorites and a player who has played extremely well at Bay Hill over the past decade, including five consecutive top-10 finishes.

Hideki Matsuyama, Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Marc Leishman, Jason Kokrak and a host of others are expected to compete for the title.

We also like Chris Kirk, who settled for a T7 at last week’s Honda Classic. It was his best showing in 10 months, piggybacking a T14 at TPC Scottsdale. Since 2016, Kirk is 4-for-5 at Bay Hill with a T8 (2021) among four top 15’s.

Rory McIlroy (+140)

He’s 7-for-7 making the cut at Bay Hill with a win (2018) among five straight top 10’s. To start off his 2022 season, he has a T12 and 3rd on the European Tour and a T10 two weeks ago at Riviera. He is 15th in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

Viktor Hovland (+220)

The 24-year-old is 3-for-3 at Bay Hill but with no better than a T40 in his debut in 2019. We expect a Bay Hill best this week.

Will Zalatoris (+300)

A positive COVID-19 test scratched out Zalatoris’ chances at Pebble Beach, but he bounced back nicely for a T26 at Riviera. Tops on TOUR in SG: Don’t forget his T10 in last year’s debut at Bay Hill.

Hideki Matsuyama (+280)

While nothing is ever easy, the current FedEx Cup points leader is perfect in nine starts this season and is also 7-for-7 with a trio of top 25’s at Bay Hill, including a T18 last year. His profile is the model for what works best here.

Other T10 contenders (in order from longest odds to shortest):

  • Zach Johnson (+1500)
  • Henrik Stenson (+1500)
  • Kevin Streelman (+1300)
  • Chris Kirk (+650)
  • Talor Gooch (+550)
  • Christiaan Bezuidenhout (+500)
  • Billy Horschel (+480)

2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational top-20 picks

These six golfers are worthy of T20 wagers, including fan favorite Rickie Fowler, who is desperately in need of a strong finish.

  • Henrik Norlander (+900)
  • Nick Watney (+900)
  • Scott Stallings (+750)
  • Rory Sabbatini (+650)
  • Cameron Champ (+500)
  • Rickie Fowler (+425)

  • Rory McIlroy (+125) vs. Rahm
  • Viktor Hovland (-110) vs. Scottie Scheffler
  • Hideki Matsuyama (-120) vs. Sungjae Im

2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational bonus prop bet

Will there be a playoff? Yes: (+300)

We tried this prop last week at the Honda with no such luck.

There’s decent value at +300 and I’m willing to take a shot again.
