Peyton Manning returns for Season 4 of ‘Peyton’s Places’

Peyton Manning has returned for Season 4 of ‘Peyton’s Places’ and the first episode is already streaming.

Peyton Manning has become a media and business powerhouse since he retired from the Denver Broncos after the 2015 NFL Season. He has invested in numerous companies and he’s building his Omaha Productions into a powerhouse media company. One of Omaha’s signature productions is Peyton’s Places. The hit show has run for three seasons and features Manning visiting key figures, players, and coaches to discuss pivotal moments in American football history.

Manning is showing retired athletes that there is a path to production with life after the NFL. Although Manning has his hands in many things — investments, business ventures, and productions — his fame and wealth from football have helped build an empire that should sustained for some years.

“I am so excited to be back for season 4 of Peyton’s Places and to continue this journey telling stories about football and the NFL,” Manning said in a press release. “We had a lot of fun traveling across the country this season – from riding trolleys with George Kittle in San Francisco to riding roller coasters with Phil Simms at Disney World. It was a season filled with new places and new stories that all football fans can enjoy.”

It looks like there will be nine new episodes on ESPN+ this fall (here’s the schedule). Check out ESPN’s promo for Season 4 below.

Peyton Manning hits home run on episode of ‘Peyton’s Places’

Peyton Manning or Bo Jackson? 🤔

Retirement has been good for Peyton Manning. Since his curtain call in February of 2016 following his second Super Bowl win, Manning has become a media powerhouse, appearing in commercials and becoming an accomplished businessman.

Manning has made the most significant mark on ESPN, where Peyton and his brother, Eli, host the ManningCast during select Monday Night Football games. Peyton also has his own show, Peyton’s Places, in which the NFL legend interviews players, coaches, and other figures about significant football events.

In a recent episode of the show, Manning interviewed current Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. Because Wilson was a former two-sport athlete playing football and baseball, Manning decided to play baseball with Wilson on the Colorado Rockies stomping grounds, where Wilson once played.

As Manning says, he channeled his inner Bo Jackson and hit a home run. Check it out below to see Manning send a ball out of the park:

Peyton Manning gets in on the ‘Chad Powers’ fun during ‘ManningCast’

“[Chad] Powers throws it so much better than Eli Manning ever did,” Peyton Manning joked 😅

After an extremely successful launch of Peyton’s Places on ESPN+, Peyton Manning began creating additional shows for Disney’s streaming sports network, including Eli’s Places.

In a recent episode of Eli’s Places, Eli Manning disguises himself as “Chad Powers” for a walk-on tryout at Penn State. The footage from Manning’s tryout is pretty funny and it quickly went viral on social media.

Peyton jumped on the hype train during the “ManningCast” of Monday Night Football in Week 3, reporting to the show with a “Chad Powers” t-shirt.

Peyton also, of course, took advantage of an opportunity to poke fun at his brother.

“Eli, the funny thing that people didn’t get to see is that a couple of those Penn State coaches were actually saying they thought Powers looked like Eli Manning, but Powers throws it so much better than Eli Manning ever did,” Manning said during MNF. “That’s kind of what threw them off in my opinion.”

Broncos QB Russell Wilson set to appear on ‘Peyton’s Places’ this season

At least one episode of the upcoming season of “Peyton’s Places” will include an appearance from Broncos QB Russell Wilson.

Russell Wilson, baseball player?

Once in the Colorado Rockies farm system before enrolling into the University of Wisconsin as a graduate student, Wilson’s now back in the batter’s box.

Don’t worry, though. Wilson’s simply recording scenes for his upcoming appearance on season 3 of Peyton’s Places. The show airs on ESPN+ and features, you bet, Peyton Manning.

Donning the Rockies’ purple pinstripes in a clip shared by MLB’s official Twitter account, Wilson and Manning are seen walking out of the clubhouse into the dugout. Later in the clip, the duo are on the diamond reading over their script. By the look of things, Manning’s an intense method actor. Wilson, meanwhile, is gingerly looking over the script as well. A less-is-more approach, based on his demeanor.

Toward the end of the 19-second clip, Manning’s back on the diamond solo. He’s donning batting gloves during an extreme close-up with the recording cameras, while Wilson’s taking practice swings in the on-deck circle. All of this took place before the actual Rockies lined up for the first pitch of their game last Thursday. Keep an eye out for Wilson’s appearance on Peyton’s Places this season. Meanwhile, check out more footage below.
