Penn State is coming off its largest margin of victory of the season. The Nittany Lions handled the visiting Minnesota Golden Gophers 67-46 Thursday. The PSU defense was sharp and has now held foes to a 37.7% mark from the floor over its last six games. However, Penn State has lost its last five road games, last prevailing away from home Jan. 5 at Northwestern.
The Terrapins won at Nebraska 90-74 Friday, snapping a five-game losing streak. The 90 points was the Terps’ most in a regulation game this season. Maryland nearly upset No. 7 Purdue in its previous game, falling 62-61 after leading for more than 10 minutes of the second half.
