Patriots Twitter losing their minds as Mac Jones throws another pick-six

Mac Jones isn’t winning anyone over with this horrific start.

Throwing the ball to the other team is becoming a common theme for New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones.

After turning the ball over three times last week against the Dallas Cowboys, Jones was at it once again in Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints, throwing a pick-six into the awaiting arms of Saints defensive back Tyrann Mathieu.

It’s a nightmare start to a game many called the most important in Jones’ career.

He was benched after last week’s turnover spree for backup quarterback Bailey Zappe. There was hope that game would light a fire under him for a strong bounce-back performance against the Saints. But so far, it’s just been more of the same from the former first-round draft pick out of Alabama.

It didn’t take long for the Zappe chants to start echoing throughout Gillette Stadium. Here’s what Patriots Twitter is saying about another pick-six from Jones.

Twitter siding with Mac Jones in Sauce Gardner’s low blow accusations

Here’s how Twitter reacted to Sauce Gardner’s video footage of alleged low blow from Mac Jones.

New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is in the NFL headlines this week, but it’s not for the 15-10 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.

Following the game, Jets cornerback Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner accused Jones of hitting him below the belt after he refused to help the third-year quarterback up after a play.

The video of the alleged incident shows Jones leaning into Gardner when getting up, and the Jets cornerback suddenly shoves him across the field. It’s hard to know for sure exactly what happened from that particular video, but maybe there are others out there that would give a better indication of what actually happened in that moment.

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reported on Monday that the NFL is looking into Gardner’s allegations. Whether disciplinary action is ultimately taken against Jones remains to be seen.

For now, here’s what fans on Twitter are saying about Jones’ alleged low blow on Gardner.

Twitter reacts to Patriots’ narrow Week 3 victory over the Jets

Here’s how Patriots Twitter reacted to the Patriots’ 15-10 win over the Jets.

The New England Patriots defeated the New York Jets by a 15-10 score on Sunday.

It wasn’t pretty, but thanks to a big helping hand from the Patriots defense, quarterback Mac Jones and company got the job done in the end. Jones passed for 201 yards and a touchdown against a tough Jets defense.

Running the football was the theme on Sunday afternoon, especially in rainy conditions. Patriots running back Ezekiel Elliott carried the ball 16 times for 80 yards and helped pace the New England rushing attack.

For the Patriots overall, it was a day of inconsistencies. But a win is still a win. New England got their first victory of the season, as they look to stay afloat in a difficult AFC East division.

Patriots Twitter had fun with the victory, which marked the team’s 15th straight against the Jets.

Patriots Twitter reacts to Jets fans’ hopes of Tom Brady signing

Patriots Twitter reacts to Jets fans calling for Tom Brady to replace Aaron Rodgers.

With Aaron Rodgers out for the season with a torn Achilles, some New York Jets fans have turned to hoping Tom Brady will come out of retirement to start at quarterback for the Jets.

But New England Patriots fans aren’t having it.

Patriots Twitter was full of fans shooting down the idea that Brady would join the Jets. Sure, the Jets have an elite defense, and there are enough offensive weapons in place to create an attractive destination for a veteran quarterback to step right in and take the reins.

However, when it comes to Brady, it’s easy to see why it wouldn’t make sense. He wouldn’t be familiar with the offense or the skilled players for the Jets.

This isn’t pick-up football. It’s the NFL, where players spend significant time throughout the offseason and training camp building chemistry together.

During Tuesday’s episode of ESPN’s “First Take”, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe did mention he would give Brady a call if he were the Jets.

It would be a bit weird for Brady to have his retirement ceremony on Sunday and give such an incredible speech to Patriots fans at Gillette Stadium, just to jump ship to the division rival Jets the following week.

Here’s how Patriots Twitter reacted to the long-shot calls for Brady to join the Jets:
