3 standout stars in Patriots’ 27-17 loss to Chiefs

Who were the three stars for the Patriots in Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs?

The New England Patriots fell to 3-11 at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, but for a second straight week, their offense looked competent.

The issue is they lack the talent across the board on offense, and they are without key stars on defense due to injuries. But they did manage to hang in there with the defending Super Bowl champions in a 27-17 loss.

Whether Bill O’Brien has turned a corner with his play-calling, or if the change at quarterback sparked players to buy in on offense, there seems to be better execution overall. It also helps when the quarterback isn’t making terrible decisions every play and running the offense as designed.

Regardless, this week had some bright spots, despite the loss. Here are the  three stars of the game for the Patriots:

The Patriots failed to come away with a win on Sunday, but there were three standout stars that deserve recognition.

The New England Patriots are bad—like, real bad.

They are now in control of their own draft pick destiny. This week was a real barn burner of a game (sarcasm) with the Patriots dropping a 10-7 loss at MetLife Stadium to another brutally bad team.

The Patriots had a chance to send the game into overtime, but rookie kicker Chad Ryland missed a 35-yard field goal wide left to hand the New York Giants the victory.

As always, there were some bright spots for the Patriots, and there were at least three stars that shined in the game. Here are this week’s standout stars:

Who were the three standout stars for the Patriots in Week 1?

The New England Patriots couldn’t pull out the victory in the end of a 25-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but they had a real chance at stealing a win against one of the best teams in the NFL.

It was a surprising effort by the Patriots, who took it to the wire when facing the defending NFC champions. Although we do not do moral victories around here, the Patriots fielded an elite defense and competent offense.

That’s clearly something to be excited about. Let’s take a look at the three standout players for the Patriots in Sunday’s near monumental upset victory over the Eagles.
