Patriots Week 8 injury report: 8 players listed as questionable vs Dolphins

Multiple Patriots players were removed from Friday’s injury report, while eight are still questionable to play against the Dolphins on Sunday.

Things are looking much more hopeful for the New England Patriots than they were a week ago in the injury department.

Multiple players returned to practice this week, including linebacker Josh Uche and defensive end Keion White. On Friday, the team officially listed eight players as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.

New England has been ravaged with injuries since the start of the season, and the team they’ll be fielding against the Dolphins in Week 8 looks significantly different than the one they had when the division rivals last met in Week 2. Most notably, they’ll be without their two best defensive players, rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez and star pass-rusher Matthew Judon.

Unfortunately for the Patriots, the Dolphins are nearing full strength with both Pro Bowl cornerbacks, Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard, listed as questionable to play in the game. All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill and running back Raheem Mostert are also likely to suit up.

Here’s the full injury report for both teams on Friday:

Patriots Week 8 injury report: Who was out at Wednesday’s practice?

The Patriots’ injury report is much shorter this week.

The New England Patriots are still dealing with a bunch of injuries, but it was nice to see a much shorter injury report ahead of the team’s Week 8 showdown with the Miami Dolphins.

Defensive end Keion White was the only player that didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice, while 11 other Patriots players were listed as limited participants.

Meanwhile, things are bit more concerning on the Dolphins’ side of things with key players either being out or limited at practice.

All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill missed the practice with a hip injury, while safety Javon Holland was out with a concussion. Other standouts, including Jalen Ramsey, Xavien Howard and Raheem Mostert were limited on the practice field.

6 Patriots players missing, 14 more limited at practice in Wednesday’s injury report

The Patriots are still riddled with injuries heading into Week 7

It’s two steps forward and two steps back for the New England Patriots in their first injury report ahead of their Week 2 divisional matchup with the Buffalo Bills.

A day after Jack Jones and Demario Douglas returned to practice, the Patriots were fortunate enough to have wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and running back Rhamondre Stevenson back in the fold for Wednesday’s practice.

Unfortunately, there were a slew of other players that weren’t present, including multiple starters. The Patriots are sitting at 1-5 on the season and last place in the AFC East division. Their margin for error is impossibly slim right now.

Not only will they be facing a superior team at every phase of football this week, but they might have to do so with a shorthanded roster. The uphill battle is beginning to look like a mountain for the Patriots, even with Sunday’s game being at Gillette Stadium.

These are the players that popped up on the injury report.

Raiders, Patriots final Week 6 injury report: CB Nate Hobbs to miss third straight

Raiders CB Nate Hobbs to miss third straight. Meanwhile the Pats are without WR JuJu Smith-Schuster and DE Matt Judon

It’s getting closer to the time when the Raiders will have wished they just sent Nate Hobbs to injured reserve. The third-year cornerback suffered an ankle injury in the days leading up to their Week four games against the Chargers that caused him to miss that game. Now he will miss his third straight game when a trip to IR would have meant he missed four games.

Hobbs’s absence obviously makes the Raiders short-handed on defense. He is the best cornerback on the roster and their primary slot cornerback. The first three weeks, he was a starter along with Marcus Peters and Jakorian Bennett. It’s possible that come Sunday, Peters could be the one of those three on the field.

Bennett is Questionable for the game after being limited all week with a shoulder injury.

Last week against the Packers, it was Tyler Hall and Amik Robertson who received the bulk of the snaps at cornerback and that figures to be the case again.

Missing for the Patriots is Pro Bowl defensive end Matthew Judon (elbow) along with wide receivers Demario Davis and JuJu Smith-Schuster who both are OUT with concussions. A number of other players are Questionable.

7 Patriots players ruled out for Sunday’s game vs Raiders

The Patriots ruled out seven players for their Week 6 matchup against the Raiders

There are seven New England Patriots players that won’t be making the trip for Sunday’s road game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Being shorthanded is nothing new to the Patriots at this point. The team has dealt with injury issues since the start of the season, and they’ll have to continue to deal with them in a Week 6 meeting with coach Josh McDaniels and the Raiders.

It’ll be a reunion of sorts with the former Patriots offensive coordinator hoping to add a fifth loss to coach Bill Belichick’s season. The odds will be in his favor with the Patriots already missing two of their best defensive players, linebacker Matthew Judon and cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Patriots have been an accident waiting to happen with a broken offensive line, underwhelming skilled position group and a quarterback that has seemingly lost confidence.

Let’s take a look at every player that popped up on the Patriots’ injury report heading into Sunday’s game.

Patriots Week 6 injury report: New key defender limited on Thursday

Another key defensive player is the newest addition on the Patriots’ Week 6 injury report

The New England Patriots head into Sunday’s contest with the Las Vegas Raiders a little banged up. There were 16 players on the injury report on Thursday afternoon, including the addition of safety Kyle Dugger, who is dealing with a foot injury.

The wide receiver injuries are something to keep an eye on as well. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Demario Douglas and Tyquan Thorton all had limited participation on Thursday. New England is already struggling with wide receiver depth, and those three are important pieces to the unit. Their health will undoubtedly be something to monitor over the next few days.

Mike Onwenu is still battling an ankle injury he suffered in the Week 5 loss to the New Orleans Saints. His availability will be crucial for an offensive line that is struggling. Riley Reiff and Cole Strange are still nursing injuries as well.

Below is the full list of injuries for the Patriots:

Raiders, Patriots Thursday injury report: CB Nate Hobbs still not practicing

CB Nate Hobbs still not practicing for Raiders

The Raiders hit the practice field today for their first full practice in their short week to prepare for the Patriots. Not among them once again was starting slot cornerback Nate Hobbs.

Hobbs has missed the past two games with n ankle injury he suffered in practice just prior to the team’s Week 4 game against the Chargers. The injury clearly wasn’t deemed serious enough initially to place him on injured reserve which would have had him out for four weeks.

The Patriots were without three players in their second practice of the week. Among them were Matt Judon (elbow), WR Demario Douglas (concussion) and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion).

Patriots Week 6 injury report: 12 players limited on Wednesday

12 Patriots players were limited at Wednesday’s practice

The New England Patriots’ injury report was longer than it’s been all season at Wednesday’s practice.

If anything, it was just another reminder of the revolving door that has occurred on both sides of the ball with players coming and going for the Patriots.

Linebacker Josh Uche was the newest name to join the list of limited participants at practice. The Patriots are already missing Matthew Judon, who suffered a torn biceps in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

So Uche’s health situation is something to monitor in the coming days, ahead of Sunday’s road trip to the desert to take on the Las Vegas Raiders.

Wide receivers Demario Douglas and JuJu Smith-Schuster did not participate due to both players being in concussion protocol. It’s way too early in the week to know for sure, but the Patriots could be significantly shorthanded heading into Week 6.

Here’s every player listed on the first injury report of the week:

Patriots Week 4 injury report: Cole Strange remains limited

Here’s Thursday’s Week 4 injury report for the Patriots

A banged-up offensive line is never good news ahead of a road matchup against All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys. Yet, that could be the situation facing the New England Patriots when they arrive at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

The Patriots were back on the practice field on Thursday, and once again, five players were limited.

However, the most concerning player on that list was second-year guard Cole Strange, who has been hobbled with a knee injury. Strange looked really limited to the point where he was barely participating in drills in the portion of practice that was open to media members.

The ability to slow down Parsons could mean the difference between a win and a loss for the Patriots. Granted, Mac Jones has been better under pressure, but he probably doesn’t want to play a cat-and-mouse game with a physical specimen like Parsons.

The offensive front for the Patriots must come up big on Sunday, and if Strange can’t play, it’s going to take an even greater effort from the reserves to fill that void.

Here’s every player listed on Thursday’s injury report for the Patriots:

5 players limited in Patriots’ first injury report vs Cowboys

Five Patriots players were limited at practice on Wednesday

The New England Patriots have been a banged-up football team since the start of the season, and that obviously hasn’t changed ahead of a crucial Sunday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4.

Last week, the team officially put cornerback Marcus Jones on injured reserve. This week, it was veteran defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale going on IR.

Losing Ekuale could create problems up front, especially if Davon Godchaux (ankle) isn’t able to go on Sunday. The Patriots still have several days to get as healthy as possible.

Whether that will be enough time for some of the limited participants at practice to move into the full participants column or not remains to be seen.

Going on the road and knocking off a potential Super Bowl contender will be a massive undertaking for a Patriots team that’ll need all hands on deck for this one.

Let’s take a look at the players that appeared on the Week 4 injury report.
