Cowboys’ Micah Parsons signs partnership deal with Adidas

From @ToddBrock24f7: The superstar edge rusher will wear the brand’s cleats and apparel in 2024 as part of a new multi-year partnership.

Edge rusher Micah Parsons is one of three high-profile Cowboys players eligible for a lucrative new contract from the team this offseason, but he’s not letting the front office’s foot-dragging keep him from cashing in now.

The Adidas brand announced Tuesday that they have signed Parsons to a multi-year partnership that will have the soon-to-be 25-year-old participating in the manufacturer’s marketing campaigns and sporting their apparel. He’ll also wear the Adidas Adizero Impact cleats when he takes the field in 2024.

“Since day one, I’ve wanted to be a global ambassador for the game, inspiring the next generation of athletes and fans around the world,” Parsons said. “It’s very clear to me that Adidas is best aligned with my ambitions and career goals. The three stripes has already done so much for me and I know that this is going to be special.”

Parsons is the latest football star to join the Adidas camp. Patrick Mahomes, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Chris Jones, Brock Purdy, David Njoku, Tua Tagovailoa, Trevor Lawrence and Aaron Jones are already affiliated with the brand. Incoming rookies Michael Penix Jr., Adonai Mitchell, Rome Odunze and Xavier Legette have deals as well.

A first-round draft selection by Dallas in 2021, Parsons has earned All-Pro honors in each of his three seasons, unanimously won Defensive Rookie of the Year in his first season, and has been up for Defensive Player of the Year three times.

“Since his rookie year, Micah has distinguished himself as a transformational player in the league with his relentless drive, unique and engaging personality, and overall pursuit of greatness,” said Chris McGuire, Adidas vice president of sports marketing. “Micah is a perfect addition to join the three stripes. His passion for greatness – both on and off the field – positions him to be one of the biggest stars in the game, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him join the Adidas family.”

Rams partner with the Disneyland Resort to get young fans interested in football

The #Rams announced a partnership with the Disneyland Resort on Thursday in a move that they hope will lure young fans into their audience

In conjunction with the Disneyland Resort, the Los Angeles Rams are looking to get young people interested in the game of football, and hope to bring a new generation of fans into their audience. The team announced on Thursday that they had finalized a partnership with the renowned entertainment consortium that would seek to engage young people by showcasing their brand around Disneyland and bringing advertising for the resort into SoFi Stadium as part of the game day experience.

There will be a season-long series of content called “Rams Kids Fact Friday” as part of the collaboration that will be aimed toward the youth, which is set to be released on all of the Rams’ media outlets. According to the team, each video will feature Disney characters and Los Angeles cheerleaders, with Fact Friday topics including fun facts about Rams players, the team’s history, and their upcoming matchups.

All of this will lead up to an event held for the Watts and Inglewood Rams youth football teams at the Disneyland Resort. The team’s press release states that the function will celebrate the achievements of the young student-athletes, and will be an opportunity for players, families, and coaches to come together.

Additionally, Los Angeles has arranged to have certain players on their roster vacation at the resort to “create new memories with their families while experiencing seasonal celebrations at Disneyland Resort.”

“Disneyland Resort will also have a presence in SoFi Stadium on Rams gamedays with LED and Infinity Screen signage highlighting seasonal offerings at the Parks. Rams will also present ‘Magic Moment’ in-game features,” according to the release put out on Thursday.

In a market like Los Angeles, collaborations and partnerships are expected, but the announcement of a deal of this magnitude is a bit surprising in the middle of the football season. The Rams will look to get their new collaboration underway with a win against the Carolina Panthers this week.

Rams team up with La Brea Bakery to provide fans enhanced gameday experience

The Rams announced a partnership with La Brea Bakery on Tuesday that they hope will make their fans’ gameday experience more pleasurable.

The Los Angeles Rams announced a partnership with local restaurant La Brea Bakery on Tuesday that will aim to provide fans with an enhanced gameday experience with a local flair. Fans who are included in the team’s VIP tailgate will “enjoy delicious food by Food Network Star, Chef Aaron May, highlighting different La Brea Bakery breads weekly” according to the Rams’ official press release.

May, a local legend among Los Angeles foodies explained the partnership as part of the team’s official statement, saying that La Brea Bakery’s high standards fit with the culture of the Rams organization.

“La Brea Bakery empowers artisan chefs to curate elevated menus and dishes that our VIP attendees have come to expect,” He said. “I am excited to include this Southern California icon into our tailgates as Rams fans get ready to cheer on the defending champs.”

La Brea Bakery’s director of marketing, Brie Buenning, piggybacked off May’s comments, explaining that their breads will make for an exceptional pre-game experience.

“Our artisan breads provide the foundation for a great tailgate,” She said. “The La Brea Bakery brand is ‘born and bread’ in L.A. so partnering with the Los Angeles Rams is a natural fit. We’re excited to rise to the occasion by supporting our community both on and off the field.”

This partnership is sure to strengthen ties between the Rams and the Los Angeles community, and should cement their role as a key player in the local food scene for years to come. With an official tailgate sponsor now in place for VIP fans, the team will need to get their season turned around to make sure that their games are events that the Los Angeles faithful will show up for in the first place.

Their 2-3 record through five games has been a major step back from their Super Bowl championship performance in 2021, and with a win this week against the Carolina Panthers, the Rams could get themselves back to .500 ahead of the most grueling part of their schedule.

Some more big news from power five conferences, as the Pac-12 and ACC are reportedly in talks for a partnership:

This move is a way for the conferences to battle the expansion of the SEC and Big Ten conferences in the coming years which will include the move of at least USC and UCLA to the Big Ten as well as Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC. The reports have also mentioned that the proposed partnership between the Pac-12 and ACC will likely include a championship game between them in Las Vegas.

The college football landscape has changed a lot over the last few weeks, and it looks like there could be even more moves coming soon as the conferences continue to shake out.
