Callaway Launches Paradym family of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons

The new Paradym driver family uses a 360-degree carbon carbon fiber body and unique face design to create more ball speed and forgiveness.

Callaway Golf has released its newest family of woods and irons, the Paradym Series, and with the help of multi-material construction and advanced technologies, the brand is trying to bring more distance, stability and customization to golfers of every level.

The three Paradym drivers (the standard Paradym, low-spin Triple Diamond and ultra-stable, slice-reducing Paradym X) all have a 360-degree carbon fiber wrap that removes weight from the center of the head and repositions it in places where it can improve performance. They also feature hitting areas designed using artificial intelligence to maximize ball speed and an updated Jailbreak system to return more energy to the ball.

The Paradym fairway woods and hybrids complement the drivers and deliver more distance, stability and confidence.

The all-new Paradym irons also have a thin-faced designed with the help of artificial intelligence to maximize ball speed, along with tungsten weights to drive down the center of gravity location and make hitting high-flying, soft-landing shots easier. The Paradym and Paradym X irons also boast urethane microspheres injected inside the heads to soak up excessive vibrations and improve feel.

Callaway said its extensive use of carbon fiber can lead to more distance and tighter downrange dispersion.

Gear: Callaway Paradym, Paradym X, Paradym Triple Diamond drivers
Price: $599.99 with Aldila Ascent PL Blue shaft, Project X HZRDUS Silver shaft, Project X HZRDUS Black shaft or Mitsubishi Kai’Li White shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips.

Available: Feb. 24, but available for pre-order now

Who They’re For: Golfers who want more ball speed and tighter downrange dispersion.

The Skinny: By making the entire middle portion of the Paradym drivers with carbon fiber, Callaway created significant amounts of discretionary weight that – in combination with hitting areas designed using artificial intelligence, Jailbreak and adjustability – can lead to more distance and tighter downrange dispersion.

The Deep Dive: In addition to all having an adjustable hosel that lets players and fitters increase or decrease the lofts, the Paradym, Paradym X and Paradym Triple Diamond share three features that enhance their performance.

New for 2023: Callaway Paradym, Paradym X irons

A hollow body, two pieces of tungsten and urethane inserts help the Paradym and Paradym X irons deliver more ball speed with enhanced sound and feel.

Gear: Callaway Paradym, Paradym X irons
Price: $200 each with True Temper Elevate steel shafts and Callaway Universal grips. $215 each with Aldila Ascent PL Blue shafts or Project X HZRDUS Silver graphite shafts
Specs: A.I.-designed forged 455 stainless steel cup face with a hollow body, tungsten weights and urethane inserts
Available: Feb. 24, but available for pre-order now

Who It’s For: Mid- and higher-handicap golfers who want more distance and a softer feel at impact.

The Skinny: A hollow body, two pieces of tungsten and urethane inserts help the Paradym and Paradym X irons deliver more ball speed with enhanced sound and feel.

The Deep Dive: Ordinarily, when a golf equipment maker releases a new iron family, it replaces an existing club. But the new Paradym and Paradym X irons are not replacing the Rogue ST irons that dropped in January 2022. They are not replacing the Apex irons, either. Instead, the Paradym and Paradym X were made to be something different: forged, premium clubs created to deliver more distance, a softer feel and improved sound.

To deliver that, Callaway is utilizing several new technologies.
