NBA fans responded to Paul George’s massive new contract by roasting his playoff struggles

Pandemic P got paid.

Paul George is staying in Los Angeles for the foreseeable future.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, George agreed to a four-year, $190 million contract extension to go on top of the $35.4 million he had guaranteed for the 2020-21 season.

It’s a massive deal for George who won’t be facing free agency until he turns 35 in 2025.

But mainly, it’s a huge investment in a player who failed to get the Clippers past the second round despite holding the second-best record in the Western Conference. George’s struggles, specifically, were the focus among NBA fans with his “Playoff P” nickname turning into “Pandemic P” when the league shifted to the Orlando bubble.

NBA fans brought that nickname back in response to the news with “Pandemic P” trending on Twitter within minutes.

After the Game 7 performance against the Nuggets, that nickname might not go away any time soon.
