The Indiana Pacers (34-27) and San Antonio Spurs (12-48) meet at Frost Bank Center Sunday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Pacers vs. Spurs odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Pacers lead 1-0

The Pacers are coming off a 129-102 loss at the New Orleans Pelicans Friday as the Under (239) hit. Indiana allowed 48 points in the 1st quarter, which tied a franchise record the Pelicans, and failed to cover as a 5.5-point underdog.

The Spurs shocked the Oklahoma City Thunder with a 132-118 straight-up win as 11-point home underdogs Thursday. C Victor Wembanyama and G Devin Vassell each had 28 points as the Over (238) cashed, ending a 2-0-1 streak to the Under for the Spurs.

In a Nov. 6 meeting, the Pacers covered as 8.5-point home favorites with a 152-111 rout of the Spurs as the Over (237.5) hit. G Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 23 points and 8 assists.

Pacers at Spurs picks and predictions

Prediction

Pacers 125, Spurs 115

Moneyline

The Pacers (-250) should bounce back after losing by 27 last time out, but it’s easier to beat markets that are -110 on both sides.

PASS. Lay the points and/or bet the total instead.

Against the spread

The Spurs are coming off covers against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City, but they have not covered in 3 straight games since Jan. 19-22. San Antonio may come out flat after beating a top-3 team record-wise in the West as a double-digit underdog.

The Pacers, on the other hand, are in a good spot to bet coming off an embarrassing loss at the Pelicans. Indiana already blew out the Spurs in the Nov. 6 meeting, and Sunday’s may look very similar.

BET PACERS -6.5 (-105).

Over/Under

The Under is 12-3-1 in the Spurs’ last 16 games, and the Over hasn’t hit in back-to-back games for San Antonio since a 4-game run to the Over from Jan. 19-24.

Indiana just gave up 48 first-quarter points last time out and should come out more focused defensively to avoid getting embarrassed in a 2nd straight game.

BET UNDER 243.5 (-115).

Pacers at Spurs: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Spurs 115, Pacers 108

Money line (ML)

PASS on the money line as the Spurs are a bit too risky at -225 given how poorly they have played over the last few weeks.

San Antonio should win, but the odds aren’t appealing enough to bettors. Instead, look at the spread for better odds.

Against the spread (ATS)

SPURS -5.5 (-110) is our play here mostly due to the recent struggles of the Pacers. Indiana failed to cover the spread in five of its last six road games and has been blown out in several recent losses.

The Pacers should be able to hang around awhile in this game, but look for the Spurs to ultimately win by at least 7 or 8 points. Given all of the injuries the Pacers have right now, it’s just hard to trust them on a night-to-night basis.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 222.5 (-110) is the lean as both offenses have been subpar in the second half of the season.

The Spurs are averaging only 110.2 points per night, well below the league average. Indiana is slightly better, but not by much (112.4 PPG). Expect both teams to struggle to get to that number Saturday, allowing the Under to hit at AT&T Center.
