Alabama quarterback Mac Jones is having an unbelievable season as the Crimson Tide has now taken down numerous ranked opponents and remain the only undefeated team in the SEC.
Jones was thrown into a unique situation late in 2019, becoming Alabama’s starting quarterback after a season-ending hip injury to Tua Tagovailoa. Then, as he enters his redshirt-junior season, there’s expected competition from a five-star true freshman that has been praised as “the future of the Crimson Tide.”
In 2019, it was Joe Burrow that unexpectedly lit up the scene. Now, it seems like Jones will be filling that role. At least, that’s what Joel Klatt of FOX Sports believes.
As a guest on ‘The Herd’ with Colin Cowherd, Klatt talked about Jones and praised his style of play and decision making.
Cowherd was not buying it, which led to Klatt calling out the show host for his inexperience playing quarterback.

On this week of “Colin Hates Alabama”, Colin thinks Mac Jones is overrated & thinks that he throws bad passes. Thank you @joelklatt for giving Mac Jones the credit he deserves pic.twitter.com/Mzzf0eb1ug
