Watch: The best catch of the football season has already happened

Ja’kayden Ferguson makes an incredible catch.

You can’t hope to control Ja’kayden Ferguson. You can only hope to contain the Kentucky Wildcats‘ commit.

Ferguson pulled off an incredible one-handed that some are saying is a ‘Moss’d’ moment last week at what was a stacked OT7 in Tampa, Florida. But first, some background on Ferguson.

A four-star wide receiver, Ferguson is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver out of Houston, Texas. Rivals ranks him as the seventh-best athlete in the nation and Texas’ No. 38 overall recruit.

He held offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor, Houston, LSU, Miami, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas Tech among others.

His catch is certainly impressive, with Ferguson rushing above his coverage to make a one-handed touchdown catch. Even if it was in a 7-on-7 tournament, this was still a stellar display of athleticism.

(And truth be told, not a bad throw either…)

Check out this play:

Last year, Ferguson had 48 catches for 558 receiving yards with five touchdowns.

What an incredibly special athlete Kentucky is getting in Ferguson.

Watch Texas A&M 2025 DL commit Landon Rink show off his NFL-like strength

Mike Elko is gaining an absolute unit in 2025 4-star DL commit Landon Rink

A term used in football, especially concerning defensive and offensive linemen, is known as “functional strength,” which is usually separate from how a player performs in the weight room.

However, strength in the weight room sometimes only makes a naturally gifted football player much better. One example? 2025 four-star defensive lineman Landon Rink, out of Cy-Fair HS, committed to Texas A&M over Oklahoma and Ohio State in early April.

During his 2023 junior season, Rink’s performance was nothing short of exceptional. He was one of the most dominant high school players in the country. He recorded an impressive 70 tackles, 15 sacks, 30 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.

After announcing that he planned to cancel any remaining recruiting visits outside of returning to College Station, Rink made his way to the OT7 competition this week. On Thursday, the incoming senior impressed every player, coach, and media member with his performance on the bench press and squat.

Recording an incredible 23 reps of 225 on the bench press would be an above-average number for a defensive lineman competing in the NFL Draft. This is equivalent to a nearly 400-pound one-rep max. Even more impressive, Rink recorded 24 reps of 315 pounds on the squat rack, which is equivalent to a 567-pound one-rep max.

For those who have watched him on the field, Rink’s “functional strength” is real, matching his weight room prowess. His notable 30 tackles for loss are nothing to sneeze at, especially when you realize that he did that against 6A Texas football competition.

2025 4-star LB out of Buford (GA) will reportedly take an official visit to Texas A&M this summer

During Overtime’s OT7 event, 2025 4-star LB and Georgia commit Jadon Perlotte revealed that he plans to visit Texas A&M this summer

This weekend, Overtimes’ OT7 event featured several commits in Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class, led by four-star cornerback Deyjhon Pettaway and four-star defensive lineman Landon Rink, who both showed out during Saturday’s festivities.

Attending the event, Texas A&M recruiting insider, known professionally as AggiesToday, spoke to nearly every 2025 prospect who attended the event, including four-star linebacker and Georgia commit Jadon Perlotte out of Buford, Georgia, who revealed that despite his commitment to the Bulldogs, he plans to visit College Station this summer.

Possessing elite instincts, Perlotte is a speedy backer who plays with a high motor while thriving in coverage. He has the potential to be a nightmare in the pass rush. During his 2023 junior season, Perlotte recorded 55 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, five pass breakups, and an interception.

Standing at 6-3 and 2010 pounds, Perlotte’s versatility has made him one of the more sought-after defensive prospects in the 2025 cycle, receiving nearly 40 offers thus far.

According to 247Sports Composite, Perlotte is currently positioned as the 82nd-ranked prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, the 11th-ranked linebacker prospect, and the 12th-ranked prospect in Georgia.

NOTE: AggiesToday also included the following regarding Perlotte’s recruiting connection to the program:

“He’s been to campus three times, two of which were more “secret.” Has some strong relationships with that coaches, and is very close with Matt Salvaggio.”

2025 5-Star WR and Oregon commit out of Tampa (FL) will reportedly visit Texas A&M later this year

2025 5-star WR Dallas Wilson plans to visit Texas A&M

On Saturday, Overtime held its annual OT7 event, featuring a host of notable 2025 prospects. Texas A&M recruiting insider, professionally known as AggiesToday, was present during the competition.

Concerning the Aggies 2025 recruiting class, several commits, including 4-star defensive lineman Landon Rink and 4-star cornerback Deyjhon Pettaway, were present, both playing at a high level.

After the game, one of the 2025 5-star wide receivers, Pettaway, was trailing in coverage; current Oregon commit Dallas Wilson spoke to AT, revealing that despite his commitment to the Ducks, he still plans on visiting Texas A&M sometime this year, possibly this summer.

Standing at 6-3 and 180 pounds, Wilson racked up 49 receptions, 872 receiving yards, and nine receiving touchdowns, averaging 17.8 yards per reception on the year. Possessing the speed, soft hands, and elite catch radius similar to most five-star wide receivers, losing 2024 5-star WR Cam Coleman to Auburn is certainly still a lingering annoyance.

According to 247Sports Composite, Wilson is currently positioned as the 23rd-ranked prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, the 5th-ranked wide receiver, and the 4th-ranked prospect in Florida.
