The Dodgers (-190) are a little too expensive to bet straight up, especially in a battle between a pair of premier teams.
The Orioles (+160) are no pushover, and “Swervin” Cole Irvin is going to be pumped making his 1st start in his native Southern California. The Anaheim Servite High School pitcher has faced the Dodgers twice before, but both in relief, so expect him to start the game with a little extra juice.

Run line/Against the spread
The DODGERS -1.5 (+106) are a much better play on the run line, as they’ve played more consistent baseball than the Orioles +1.5 (-128) in the past month.
Flaherty has been a strikeout machine this season, and he is also a Southern California native having quite the resurgence with the Dodgers since being acquired from the lowly Tigers at the non-waiver trade deadline. His ERA and WHIP are actually up a touch since coming over from Detroit, but there is also much less pressure to be fine and perfect, as he gets much better offensive support.

Over/Under
UNDER 8.5 (-102) is a good play, as these 2 SoCal pitchers should exchange plenty of donuts early before the bullpens take over.
The Dodgers’ bullpen rank 5th in the majors with a 3.57 ERA, while the O’s ‘pen checks in with a 4.10 ERA mark. That will be the difference with who wins the game, but the difference is rather slight. Once the starters are gone, don’t expect a watershed of runs.
