Baltimore is an attractive play with two-and-a-half runs in this one as Akin pitched pretty well last time out, and Ryu has been awful in the month of August.

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 9.5 (-120) is the way to go here. Overall, Akin and Ryu have been very giving, and the bats should get going early and often.

Manoah struggled against the Orioles last weekend but still has a sizable advantage in the starting pitching matchup against Harvey. The Toronto bullpen is better rested and has been much improved of late with a 10th-ranked 4.13 xFIP over the last 14 days.

Still, we need to PASS at the steep -250 price point for the outright win. There’s better value to be had on the spread.

The BLUE JAYS -1.5 (-130) should be backed to win by at least 2 runs. They’re second in MLB with a .776 team OPS against right-handed pitching, while the Orioles are 29th in the split with a rate of .654.

The Baltimore bullpen has also been worked for a total of 55 1/3 innings over the last 14 days and has a 4.35 xFIP over that time. Unless Harvey can turn back the clock, Toronto should win its fourth straight game against Baltimore by a multi-run margin.
