The Baltimore Orioles (49-27) and Houston Astros (37-40) conclude their 3-game series Sunday. First pitch from Minute Maid Park is slated for 2:10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Orioles vs. Astros odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.
Season series: Astros lead 2-0 with a 14-11 win Friday and 5-1 win Saturday
Orioles ace Corbin Burnes (7 IP, 4 ER, 5 H, 2 HR, 0 BB, 5 K) suffered his 1st loss since May 7th on Saturday afternoon. Baltimore was stifled offensively and their lone run was a solo shot from 3B Jordan Westburg. Baltimore hopes to avoid being swept for just the 2nd time all season.
Saturday’s win was Houston’s 4th straight. A stellar performance from SP Ronel Blanco (7 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 1 HR, 3 BB, 4 K) earned him his team-high 8th victory. LF Chas McCormick went 3-for-3 with 2 long balls and 3 runs scored. The Astros also got a 2-run HR from DH Yordan Alvarez. They look to complete their 1st sweep since May 16th

Orioles at Astros picks and predictions
Prediction
Orioles 7, Astros 4
Moneyline.
BET ORIOLES (+108).
I’ve got the Orioles avoiding the sweep and ending their 6-game road trip at 3-3. Baltimore does not get swept, in fact, they just had their streak of 106 consecutive series (dating back to 2022) without being swept end on May 22 by the St. Louis Cardinals. It was the 3rd-longest streak in AL/NL history.
Another reason to love the Orioles on Sunday afternoon is they’re facing the southpaw Valdez. They have owned lefties this season, goingn14-7 against them and batting .259 as a team. Valdez has a career 4.98 career ERA against Baltimore.
Run line/Against the spread
PASS.
I’ll save my bet for the moneyline.
Over/Under
PASS.
I lean to the Over (-104) in this game, but don’t have enough confidence to make it an official recommendation because Valdez is 2-8 against the Over in his last 10 starts and Suarez is 0-4-1 in his last 5.
