Multiple predictions drop for Oregon Ducks to land No. 1 TE in 2026 class

The Oregon Ducks are now the heavy favorites to land 5-star tight end Kendre Harrison after a pair of predictions fell on Monday night.

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are working to put the finishing touches on the 2025 recruiting class before the early signing period gets underway in less than a month, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make waves in the 2026 class as well.

The Ducks already have the No. 1 class in the 2026 cycle, headlined by players like Tradarian Ball, Jonas Williams, and Kodi Greene, but on Monday afternoon, they picked up a pair of predictions to land one of the best overall players in the nation.

According to On3’s Steve Wiltfong and 247Sports’ Tom Loy, the Ducks are now favored to land 5-star tight end Kendre Harrison, the No. 9 player in the nation, and No. 1 tight end in 2026.

Harrison is a massive prospect, standing at 6-foot-7, 243 pounds. He was in Eugene earlier this year for the Saturday Night Live camp in August and left as one of the standout players to take the field at Autzen Stadium.

Harrison announced on Monday that he would be making his commitment official on November 30 of this year, which led to both Wiltfong and Loy making their predictions.

We will have to wait a couple of weeks before finding out if Oregon can add this incredibly gifted pass-catcher to the class of 2026, but early signs are positive, for sure.

Oregon Ducks flip 4-star TE from Washington Huskies

The Oregon Ducks flipped 4-star Washington Huskies tight end Vander Ploog in the 2025 class on Sunday.

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks added another valuable player to the 2025 recruiting class and at a major position of need.

On top of that, they stole the player from rival Washington Huskies, making the commitment that much sweeter.

On Sunday afternoon, four-star tight end Vander Ploog announced he would flip his commitment from Washington to Oregon, joining the Ducks’ top-10  class.

Ploog is the No. 242 player and the No. 12 tight end in the class. He joins a group of incredibly talented pass-catchers in the class, headlined by five-star wide receivers Dakorien Moore and Dallas Wilson.

This is not the only tight end the Ducks are trying to flip in 2025: Their top target is Kansas State commit Linkon Cure.

Cure was expected in Eugene this past weekend for a visit, but inclement weather postponed his trip.

No. 1 Oregon picks up prediction to flip 4-star Washington Huskies tight end

The Oregon Ducks picked up predictions to flip 4-star Washington Huskies tight end Vander Ploog after his latest visit to Eugene.

The Oregon Ducks are riding high right now, and it doesn’t appear that they are planning to stop any time soon.

After blowing out the No. 20 Illinois Fighting Illini on Saturday, 38-9, the Ducks kept their No. 1 ranking in the nation with a trip to the Big House in Ann Arbor on tap for Week 10.

On top of that, Oregon picked up a big-time recruiting prediction over the weekend, with On3’s Steve Wiltfong logging a pick for Dan Lanning and the Ducks to flip Washington Huskies‘ 4-star tight end Vander Ploog.

Ploog, who was in Eugene for a visit during the Illinois game, is a 4-star pass-catcher who is rated as the No. 242 player in the 2025 class, and the No. 12 TE in the nation. Standing at 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, Ploog is also the fifth-ranked player in Washington’s current recruiting class.

The Ducks currently have the No. 9 class in the 2025 cycle, headlined by a trio of 5-star players in WR Dakorien Moore, WR Dallas Wilson, and CB Brandon Finney.

No. 1 QB in 2026 class lists Oregon Ducks as team to beat in recruitment

5-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 1 QB in the 2026 class, says that the Oregon Ducks are leading his recruitment right now.

On Monday morning, we wrote about how Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks look to be putting together a juggernaut of a recruiting class in 2026, picking up a prediction to land five-star edge Zion Elee, the No. 2 player in the nation.

It turns out we were underselling the class a little.

On Monday afternoon, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported five-star quarterback Jared Curtis, the No. 1 QB in the nation, is favoring the Ducks at this point in his recruitment.

Curtis is the No. 6 player in the class of 2026, and he stands 6 feet, 4 inches and 225 pounds. Last week, Curtis announced his decommitment from the Georgia Bulldogs, so his recruitment is in the early stages.

“My interest in Oregon is above the others right now,” Curtis told On3. “It’s my relationship with coach Stein and coach Lanning.  It’s great and we had a great time when we went up there.”

Already, the Ducks have the No. 1 class in the 2026 cycle, with commitments from five four-stars who are ranked inside the top 130 players nationally. Oregon also already has a commitment from four-star QB Jonas Williams, so it will be interesting to see how the potential addition of Jared Curtis affects the landscape.

According to On3, Curtis plans to get to Eugene in November for the Ducks’ game against Maryland.

Oregon Ducks projected to land No. 1 edge in 2026 class

The Oregon Ducks picked up a prediction to land 5-star edge Zion Elee, the No. 2 player in the 2026 class.

Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning has been killing it on the recruiting trail since setting up shop in Eugene in 2021 with a pair of top-10 recruiting classes in 2023 and 2024.

The class he is starting to put together in 2026 looks like it could be on another planet, though.

The Ducks already have the No. 1 class in 2026, according to 247Sports, and On3’s lead analyst, Steve Wiltfong, logged a prediction on Monday for Oregon to land a commitment from five-star edge Zion Elee, the No. 1 edge and No. 2 player overall in the class.

Standing at 6 feet, 4 inches and 220 pounds, Elee is a monster of a defender who would fit perfectly into Lanning and Tosh Lupoi’s scheme. Elee is from Baltimore, but he goes to the same high school as Oregon four-star cornerback Ify Obidegwu, from the 2024 class.

Elee visited Eugene for a camp this summer, but he has yet to see the Ducks play this season. That could change before the year is over.

Oregon Ducks predicted to land No. 3 LB in 2026 recruiting class

Oregon’s 2026 could get even stronger after the latest prediction.

With the biggest game in Autzen Stadium history on tap, Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks brought in a long list of blue-chip recruits to check out the atmosphere and see what the program in the Pacific Northwest was about.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that we’re seeing the start of a recruiting boon take place after Oregon took down Ohio State, 32-31 in front of those recruits.

While the Ducks already have a pair of commitments that came following the victory, they’ve picked up a massive prediction to land four-star linebacker Talanoa Ili, one of the best players in the 2026 class.

[lawrence-related id=67556]

Ili is rated by 247Sports as the No. 28 player in the 2026 class and the No. 3 LB in the nation.

On Tuesday, 247Sports analyst Tom Loy placed a crystal ball prediction for Ili to commit to the Ducks, where he would join the No. 1 recruiting class in the 2026 cycle.

The Ducks are recruiting against Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC to land Ili, but they are obviously in a good spot for his commitment.

Oregon Ducks pick up prediction to flip 4-star Baylor LB Kaleb Burns

Another big-time flip could be coming for the Oregon Ducks after this weekend’s stellar recruiting boom.

When you win a game as big as the Oregon Ducks did on Saturday night, and have as many top-end recruits on campus as Dan Lanning did, positive things are sure to come.

So far, we’ve already seen the Ducks start to build some real momentum on the recruiting trail following their 32-31 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes over the weekend, with the commitment of 4-star DL Tomuhini Topui and the flip of former USC 4-star DL Viliami Moala. It appears that there will be more where that comes from as well, with On3’s Steve Wiltfon dropping a prediction on Monday that Oregon will also flip Baylor 4-star linebacker Kaleb Burns.

Burns, the No. 34 LB and No. 332 overall player in the 2025 class, was in Eugene over the weekend for the win over the Buckeyes. Standing at 6-foot-0, 220 pounds, Burns also possesses elite speed that the Ducks have emphasized under the Lanning staff, running the 100m and 200m in track and field.

Burns has been committed to Baylor since July of 2024, but the Ducks offered him a scholarship last month and quickly got him on campus to check out Eugene.

If Wiltfong is correct in his prediction, it appears that the visit went very well.

Oregon Ducks flip 4-star DL Viliami Moala, adding to No. 1 class in 2026

Dan Lanning took a 4-star recruit from Lincoln Riley to start off his Monday morning.

The Oregon Ducks took over the top spot in the 2026 recruiting class on Sunday with the addition of four-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui, and the strengthened that position on Monday with another blue-chip commitment.

Four-star defensive lineman Viliami Moala announced his decommitment from the USC Trojans late Sunday night and flipped to Oregon early Monday morning.

Moala is the No. 348 player and the No. 37 defensive lineman in the nation in the 2026 class. Standing at 6 feet, 3 inches and 305 pounds, Moala will be a bruiser in the middle of the defense for the Ducks, and fits the mold of what Dan Lanning, Tosh Lupoi and Tony Tuioti have been building in Eugene.

With the addition, Oregon has seven commitments in the class of 2026 and is a clear No. 1 class in the nation. Led by offensive tackle Kodi Greene, running back Tradarian Ball and quarterback Jonas Williams, Lanning is looking to build the strongest recruiting class in his career, and the early jump that the Ducks have is a great start.

Oregon Ducks take over No. 1 spot in 2026 recruiting rankings after latest commitment

Oregon moves into the No. 1 spot in the 2026 recruiting rankings.

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are winning on the field and on the recruiting trail.

After a masterful 32-31 victory over Ohio State, the second-ranked Ducks picked up another big-time victory on Sunday. They landed a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui, the No. 96 player and No. 8 defensive lineman in the 2026 class.

With the commitment, Oregon’s 2026 class moved into the No. 1 spot in the national rankings. It has six commitments, five of whom are blue-chippers ranked inside the top 130 nationally.

The class is headlined by five-star offensive tackle Kodi Greene, and bolstered by four-star running back Tradarian Ball, four-star quarterback Jonas Williams and four-star defensive lineman Tony Cumberland. Dan Lanning is clearly building one of the strongest recruiting classes of his career, and he’s using wins like Saturday’s in Autzen Stadium to do so.

The Ducks are in position to make a monumental run in both the 2024 season and on the recruiting trail.

Fifty-two recruits were on campus Saturday night, and we likely aren’t done seeing commitments come in from those in attendance.

Oregon Ducks land 4-star DL Tomuhini Topui on heels of Ohio State win

The commitments are starting to come in for the Ducks after beating Ohio State on Saturday.

The fruits of the Oregon Ducks’ labor are starting to pay off.

On Sunday afternoon, Dan Lanning and his staff got a big commitment from a blue-chip defensive lineman in the 2026 class, landing 4-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui out of Mater Dei, in California.

Topui is rated by 247Sports as the No. 96 player in the 2026 class, and the No. 8 defensive lineman in the nation. He was in Eugene for Oregon’s 32-31 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday night, and was obviously impressed enough with what he saw to end his recruitment early and commit to the Ducks.

This is Oregon’s sixth commitment in the class of 2026, and third commitment on the defensive line. Currently, the Ducks have the No. 1 rated class in the 2026 cycle with the addition of Topui.

Standing at 6-foot-3, 320 pounds, Topui is a bruiser of a defensive lineman that will fit well in Lanning’s defensive scheme and offer a massive body to plug holes in the middle. It’s a great pickup for the Ducks on the backs of a historic evening in Eugene.
