The No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-2, 4-2 Big 12) face the Oklahoma Sooners (5-5, 1-5) Saturday. Kickoff from Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we look at Alabama vs. Oklahoma odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Alabama showed Mercer no mercy in a 52-7 beatdown last weekend, covering as a 42.5-point favorite. Freshman sensation WR Ryan Williams ran a touchdown in and caught a touchdown on a 3-catch, 36-yard day. QB Jalen Milroe was 11-for-16 for 186 yards and 2 TDs before chillin’ the rest of the day.

Oklahoma is coming off a bye week after Missouri stunned it 30-23 Nov. 9 on a fumble recovery touchdown after leading most of the game. QB Jackson Arnold was 15-for-24 for 74 yards and rushed 17 times for 45 yards in that one.

First look: Oklahoma vs. Ole Miss odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s Oklahoma at Ole Miss college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The Oklahoma Sooners (4-3, 1-3 SEC) and the No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels (5-2, 1-2) meet at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium Saturday. Kickoff from Oxford, Miss., is slated for noon ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Oklahoma vs. Ole Miss odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Oklahoma suffered its 2nd consecutive home loss, falling 35-9 as 1-point underdogs to South Carolina last Saturday. The Sooners have struggled offensively, managing only 12 points across their last 2 games. QB Michael Hawkins Jr. was benched in the 1st quarter after throwing 2 interceptions and fumbling — the Sooners finished with 4 turnovers. In relief, QB Jackson Arnold completed 18 of 36 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.

After a week off, Ole Miss looks to regroup following a heartbreaking 29-26 overtime loss as a 4-point road favorite to the then-No. 10, now-No. 7 LSU Tigers. QB Jaxson Dart threw for 284 yards with 1 TD and 1 pick. His main targets were WRs Cayden Lee (9 catches, 132 yards), and Tre Harris (7 catches, 102 yards, 1 TD). RB Ulysses Bentley IV finished with 107 rushing yards and a score on 11 carries.

Oklahoma vs. Ole Miss head-to-head

Oklahoma and Ole Miss have faced off just once in their college football history, making this new SEC matchup particularly unique.

The lone meeting occurred on New Year’s Eve in 1999 at the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La. In a thrilling contest, Ole Miss emerged victorious, defeating Oklahoma 27-25. The Rebels led 21-3 at the half, but the Sooners rallied and grabbed a 25-24 lead with 2:17 to go behind QB Josh Heupel — yes, the same guy that is now coaching the 8th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers.

However, Old Miss drove down the field to set up K Les Binkley’s game-winning, 39-yard field as time expired.

Despite the limited history, both programs boast an impressive combined total of 10 national championships — Oklahoma 7, Ole Miss 3 — leaving fans eager for a potential rivalry in the future.

First look: Texas at Oklahoma odds and lines

Looking at Saturday’s Texas vs. Oklahoma college football odds, lines and trends. Here’s what you need to know.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”4141″ ]

The top-ranked Texas Longhorns (5-0, 1-0 SEC) travel to meet the 16th-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (4-1, 1-1) Saturday at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (ABC/ESPN+). Below, we look at Texas vs. Oklahoma odds from BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds before making our expert college football picks and predictions later in the week.

Texas topped Mississippi State 35-13 in the SEC opener Sept. 28, and then it had the week off. That’s probably good as 5 teams ranked in the Top 10 suffered outright losses in a topsy-turvy week. The Texas defense has allowed 13 or fewer points in all 5 games, good for an average of just 7.0 PPG (7th-best in the nation).

The Longhorns failed to cover as 37-point favorites against the Bulldogs, halting a 4-0 against the spread (ATS) streak to open the season. The Under (59) cashed, ending a 3-0 run to the Over, too.

Oklahoma scored a 27-21 comeback win at Auburn Sept. 28, leveling its record at 1-1 inside the SEC after falling to Tennessee Sept. 21 at home. The Sooners have alternated covers and non-covers in each of its past 5 games, covering at Auburn last time out as a 2-point underdog. The Under is 3-2.

Oklahoma won last season’s meeting 34-30 in Dallas on Oct. 7, covering as a 4-point underdog. The Sooners are 7-2 straight up (SU) in the past 9 games in this series, while Oklahoma is 3-1 ATS in the previous 4 meetings. The Over has cashed in 3 of those previous 4 meetings, too. Temple at Oklahoma odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Temple at Oklahoma odds and lines, with college football expert picks, predictions and best bets.

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3011″ ]

The No. 16 Oklahoma Sooners welcome the Temple Owls to Memorial Stadium Friday for the season-opening game for both programs. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Temple vs. Oklahoma odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Temple struggled last season, finishing with a 3-9 record and allowing 35.7 points per game to rank 127th in the nation in defense. Despite a solid offensive effort (371.4 yards per game), turnovers and defensive lapses hurt their chances. Temple’s run defense allowed 198.3 yards per game, while their pass defense gave up 2 43.3 yards per game, leading to 53 TDs allowed. The Owls need to tighten up on both sides of the ball if they hope to improve.

Oklahoma finished 10-3, boasting a high-powered offense that ranked 4th in the nation at 41.7 PPG and 507 YPG. Their passing attack was especially potent, ranking 6th with 324.8 YPG. However, defensive struggles were evident, particularly against the pass, where the Sooners allowed 250.8 YPG and 18 TDs, although they did have 20 interceptions.

Temple at Oklahoma picks and predictions

Prediction

Oklahoma 49, Temple 9

Moneyline

PASS.

No moneyline was offered and you wouldn’t bet it even if there was one, so  just look to the spread and/or total.

Against the spread

BET TEMPLE +42.5 (-115).

Temple might not be great this season, but getting +42.5 points in the opener feels too good to ignore. Sure, Oklahoma is loaded with talent, but they’re also dealing with a new QB, fresh faces on the offensive line, and a new coaching staff. Expecting them to dominate right out of the gate is asking a lot. Plus, this is the biggest spread they’ve had since 2021. I’m not rushing to bet on them covering that in Week 1, so I’ll take the points with Temple instead.

Over/Under

BET OVER 57.5 (-110).

Both teams have a solid track record with the Over, hitting it in 6 of their last 10 games. Last season, 8 of the Sooners’ games went over, and their average point total was 2.8 points higher than this game’s over/under. With Oklahoma’s high-powered offense (41.7 PPG) facing Temple’s struggling defense (35.7 PPG), this matchup is primed for a high-scoring affair. The Over looks like a smart play here.

The Kansas Jayhawks (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) Travel to Norman, Okla., to battle the reeling Oklahoma Sooners (3-3, 0-3) Saturday. Kickoff is at noon ET (ESPN2). Below, we look at Kansas vs. Oklahoma odds from Tipico Sportsbook; check back for all our college football picks and predictions.

What a topsy-turvy season for Kansas, a team that’s on the verge of making its first bowl game in more than a decade. On the other side of the field, Oklahoma is riding a 3-game losing skid and is on pace to have its first non-winning season since 1998.

The Jayhawks played their minds out last week in a 38-31 loss to TCU. Had star QB Jalon Daniels not been hurt in the 1st half, they might still be undefeated. If he can play in this one, Kansas has a chance to pull off the upset.

Oklahoma is far from itself this season. Not only has coach Brent Venables’ defense not performed well, but with QB Dillon Gabriel missing last week, the Sooners were steamrolled by rival Texas 49-0 in the Red River rivalry. This was coming off their own loss to TCU 55-24 the week prior.

Kansas vs. Oklahoma head-to-head

Except for a 2nd-half comeback by Oklahoma in Lawrence last season, the Jayhawks might have been looking at trying to build a winning streak over the Sooners here. Outside of the 12-point loss last year, Kansas has still not even come within 2 touchdowns of Oklahoma in the past 10 meetings.

Kansas has been the doormat of the Big XII for many years. With Oklahoma being the top dog, they routinely make this game non-competitive. This year could be and should be different.

With the defensive struggles mounting at Oklahoma and the Kansas offense averaging more than 35 points per game this season, this is the year for Kansas to make its move against the Sooners. Something Kansas and all the Big 12 members want to do before Oklahoma and Texas defect to the SEC no later than 2025.
