OKC Thunder 2022-23 schedule: Taking a look at the remaining March/April games

The regular season officially ends in a month. Here’s who the Thunder will play in their remaining 16 games:

The 2022-23 NBA regular season officially ends exactly a month from today as April 9 is the last day. Which means in about four week, we’ll find out whether or not the Oklahoma City Thunder (31-35) will participate in the Play-In tournament or prepare for the NBA draft lottery.

The Thunder are on the fence of either side — they are one game back from the 10th seed and 1.5 games back in the reverse standings from the sixth-best lottery odds.

The Thunder have 16 games remaining on their schedule — 10 on the road and six at home. According to Tankathon, the Thunder have the fourth-easiest remaining strength of schedule left.

The Thunder have three back-to-back’s remaining on their schedule, which means six of their final 16 games will be played on consecutive days.

This is important to point out because Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault alluded to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sitting out half of back-to-back’s for the remainder of the season to deal with an abdominal strain he is currently playing through — which means that Gilgeous-Alexander will likely miss three additional games at the minimum.

Let’s take a look at the final 16 games of their schedule as the Thunder fight to keep their playoff hopes alive in a crowded Western Conference.

Bleacher Report suggests four trade idea ideas for the OKC Thunder

Would you be a fan of any of the trades?

Bleacher Report writer Zach Buckley published an article on Wednesday that included a new trade idea following free agency for all 30 NBA teams. For the Oklahoma City Thunder, they were involved in four trade hypotheticals.

The four trades included the Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Portland Trail Blazers.

Let’s take a look at the four trades and see who the Thunder got back from the other team involved.

OKC Thunder quotes: LeBron James says Josh Giddey plays beautiful basketball

It must be a little surreal for the 19-year-old rookie to hear arguably the greatest player of all time praise him.

During All-Star weekend pressers, Los Angeles Lakers’ star LeBron James was asked about Oklahoma City Thunder rookie guard Josh Giddey and sung high praises for the 19-year-old.

“”He is really, really, really good. He has a great pace about the game. Great vision. I’ve always loved pass-first guards who can see plays happen before they happen,” said James. “Josh is one of those kids who can definitely see the game a lot quicker than a lot of guys out on the floor, and he has shown it. I think he has three straight triple-doubles and playing beautiful basketball.”

It must be a little surreal for Giddey to hear James praise him. He’s arguably the greatest player of all time and Giddey spent his childhood watching James in his prime.

Giddey had a tremendous showing for All-Star weekend as he was one of the better players in both the Rising Stars and Skills Challenges.

Giddey has had a great season so far with three consecutive Rookie of the Month awards along with totaling four triple-doubles. In 53 games, Giddey has averaged 12.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists.

Newest Celtics center Moses Brown’s best plays of 2020-2021

In trading Kemba Walker to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Celtics got back a pair of bigs at opposite stages of their careers. The veteran presence of Celtics fan favorite Al Horford is back in Boston and with him comes 21-year old youngster Moses Brown.

There is a lot to like about Brown’s ceiling and he displayed why in spurts with OKC. In over 21 minutes per game, the UCLA product averaged 8.6 points and 8.9 rebounds while blocking over one shot per game. A double-double threat every night, Brown was thrown into the fire in just his second year due to OKC’s young roster.
