WATCH: Ohio State band performs Script Ohio on ice vs. Michigan

Script Ohio is even incomparable done on ice. #GoBucks

If you were like me, you were at least a little intrigued about the event that was the Ohio State-Michigan in men’s hockey game over the weekend. The two battled on ice outdoors at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland.

The Buckeyes came away with a very important 4-2 victory in the “Faceoff on the Lake” to slide into a tie for second place in the league with just one weekend to go.

The event offered a fantastic environment. The end zones were painted with Ohio State and Michigan colors. The Buckeyes came out in throw-back alternate football jerseys, and even the OSU marching band was on hand.

Perhaps the most famous thing TBDBITL is known for is Script Ohio, and if you missed it, all that were in attendance were treated to a version of the incomparable tradition on ice. Check out the video of the OSU marching band forming the familiar formation as Ohio State took care of business on the ice against its arch-rival.

I don’t know about you, but Script Ohio never gets old. Whether it’s performed on the gridiron, on the basketball court, on ice or on the moon, it gives me chills every time.

Men’s college ice hockey to delay start of season

The men’s college ice hockey season will be delayed due to the concern over the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ohio State and the rest of the men’s college hockey clubs will have a delayed start to the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The announcement was communicated by the Hockey Commissioners Association, representing the 11 Division I men’s and women’s hockey conferences.

“The eleven Division I men’s and women’s ice hockey conferences, represented by the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA), are committed to providing memorable competitive experiences for our student-athletes during the upcoming season,” said the HCA in a statement. “The conferences have been working together on plans to return with a focus on the health and safety of everyone associated with our campus communities.

“Due to the impact COVID-19 continues to have across the country and within higher education, the start of competition for the Division I college hockey season will be delayed. Each conference will announce details on game schedules, including the start dates, individually. We look forward to our players and fans enjoying the college hockey experience this season.”

As soon as the Big Ten communicates anything additional with the hockey season, we’ll have it for you. Hopefully, it doesn’t have as much drama as what we’ve seen surrounding the football season.
