Power Ranking the Ohio State basketball uniforms worn this season

Ohio State is getting quite the ensemble when it comes to basketball uniforms. We rank all six that they’ve used so far this season.

The Ohio State basketball team has become something of a fashion palate during the 2020-2021 season. It’s always had a couple of uniforms in the wardrobe to pull out for special occasions, but this year it has gone all out and donned six different jerseys, some we’ve seen before, others are brand new.

From throwback alternate jerseys both home and away, to brand new all-black/anthracite models, it’s become a bit of a thing to wait and see what the Ohio State hoops Twitter account shares before game time to see what kind of drip the team will have for the upcoming contest.

We thought it’d be fun to rank all six uniforms based on no other bias or personal opinion but our own, and then follow it up with a poll for the people to decide. We’re kicking it off first with our take on what’s the best and least appealing that we’ve seen this year.

You can agree or disagree, but remember, you’ll get your chance to vote not long after we run the piece.

LOOK. Ohio State basketball unveils new uniforms for upcoming season

The Ohio State men’s and women’s basketball teams will both be wearing the same new uniforms this season. Check them out here.

There’s nothing like a fresh new paint job in your house to change things up a bit. In a year of change and uncertainty because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Ohio State basketball team is changing things up a wee-bit by unveiling some new threads.

We knew this was coming, and in fact, got a sneak peek of a throwback uniform the Ohio State men will also wear for some select games in the upcoming season. Now, we know what the so-called everyday uniforms will look like too.

The Ohio State Hoops Twitter account shared this new look with a couple of posts that we’re also sharing with you. First, point guard C.J. Walker looks proud to share how he looks in his new home look.

No reveal would be complete without a look at the road ensemble to round things out as well. Check out Duane Washington and Kyle Young donning the new road scarlet jersey.

And lastly, in a novel move for the program, the women will wear the same threads as the men.

Ohio State basketball reportedly to wear throwback 80’s home uniform for select games

According to a report, the Ohio State basketball team will break out home, white 80’s classic uniforms this season for select games.

File this away for a day sometime this winter.

According to Andrew Lind of Buckeye Sports Bulletin, the Ohio State basketball team will wear the home version of the throwback 80’s uniform we’ve seen a few times over the last couple of years.

It’s a clean all-white look with red trim, and sources tell Lind that the team will don the jersey for select games this season, though no confirmed dates have been set yet.

Lind even goes a further and mocks up what these classics look like. And while these things were probably more form-fitting that what you’ll see the team wear this season, they still look fantastic. They of course have the iconic Nike branding to them.

As a side note, OSU will also have a new uniform for both home and away this season. As soon as we get a look at those, we’ll pass it along.
