Ohio State basketball 2023-2024 roster

A look at the Ohio State basketball roster for 2023-2024.

The 2023-2024 Ohio State basketball season is underway and it’s one where the Buckeyes have a chance to surprise some people and do some damage not only in the Big Ten, but nationally.

There is a young nucleus back that helped OSU make a run in last year’s Big Ten tournament, a set of talented freshmen from the latest recruiting class, and a few key additions via the transfer portal. It’s the brave, new world of college hoops where roster turnover is a part of piecing things together each offseason.

We know you aren’t immune to it either. You get to know a guy and then he moves on from the program. So, to help with that, we’ve got the 2023-2024 Ohio State basketball roster here for your consumption as you transition from Buckeye football to Buckeye basketball.

Here’s a look at every player on the OSU basketball team for this season.

The college basketball season is just a little over a couple of weeks away, with Ohio State tipping things off at home against Robert Morris on November 7.

And if you’re wondering what the outlook for Chris Holtmann’s crew is this season, it’s really anyone’s guess. There is a slew of fresh faces and you might need to start getting acclimated to what the roster looks like now in preparation for what you’ll see this winter.

The Buckeyes will look for leadership from older guys like Zed Key and Justice Sueing, but beyond that, it’ll need a lot of the guys in a top-ten recruiting class to develop quickly. So, if you’re looking to get up to speed, you are in luck because we have the complete Ohio State basketball 2022-2023 roster for your perusal here.

We promise not to test you on any of this but we can’t promise what your closest family and friends will do.

Updated Ohio State basketball roster for 2022-2023

It was all dizzying in the offseason, but here’s a look at what should be the final roster for the Ohio State basketball team heading into next season. #GoBucks

Now that the shell game is complete for the most part with college basketball programs, we can get a better idea of what the Ohio State basketball program will be tossing out on the court next season. Head coach Chris Holtmann and staff tapped into the transfer portal a time or two, lost a couple of players to the NBA, and even more to graduation and other reasons.

As a result, the team will look a ton different than the one we saw for the 2021-2022 season. Expectations may not be as high as years past, but there’s also a top ten recruiting class ready to take its place and compete for a spot on this year’s squad as well.

Without getting into too much speculation (yet — that comes later), here’s a look at the current roster of the Ohio State basketball team as we sit as hopefully a finished product.

FIRST UP … The Guards

Ohio State men’s basketball 2021-2022 roster

Are you ready for the Ohio State hoops season? Here’s the complete roster for the 2021-2022 season.

The Ohio State basketball team will be in action before you know it for the 2021-2022 season, and just like previous years, there are some new faces to get accustomed to through the transfer portal and coming in from the prep ranks.

But it’s not all new faces. In fact, there is a lot of production returning from last year’s team that flirted with a Big Ten championship only to get bounced from the NCAA tournament in the first round by Oral Roberts.

The Buckeyes lost Duane Washington to the NBA, but returned Kyle Young unexpectedly as a “super senior” that took advantage of the extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ohio State basketball way-too-early projected starting lineup, key players for 2021-2022

Now that Ohio State’s season has come to a crashing halt, we project what the starting lineup and key players could be for next season.

We wish we were slinging out another game preview with the Ohio State basketball team prepping for the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. But that’s not the case because the Buckeyes laid an egg against No. 15 seed Oral Roberts in the opening round. So, it’s time to turn the page.

We’re doing just that, even with all the Madness still going on in Indianapolis because well, that’s all that’s really left to do with OSU at the end of the rope of this college hoops season for the Buckeyes. We’ll start by taking a stab at what the way-too-early starting lineup could be this coming winter, and then dive into some of the key contributors that will be a part of what will certainly be another grind in the Big Ten.

So here it goes. Here’s a look at what players will be looking to build upon what we’ve seen so far under Chris Holtmann’s watch.
