The New York Jets should not enter NFL week 4 taking the Denver Broncos lightly, especially with defensive back Patrick Surtain II on their depth chart.

Over the last two weeks, the Broncos have held opponents to an average of 10 points per game. Sure, Denver hasn’t played a quarterback with the caliber of Aaron Rodgers this season but they are looking to challenge the Jets’ offensive in the absence of tackle Morgan Moses.
Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett should not get too experimental with his play calling, that is, until the Jets see their attack catch rhythm.
Hackett’s quick passing attack will be met by the physicality and quickness of Surtain, so opting for zone runs and back shoulder throws to wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams make sense.

The Jets ruled the time of possession stat category in week 3, converting a total of 27 first downs. However, the Broncos defense did produce seven sacks in their last match-up and are planning to stifle the Jets offense if they happen to get off track.
