Boston College WR Zay Flowers reportedly visiting Ravens

Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers is scheduled to visit the Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens upgraded their roster last week with the signing of Odell Beckham Jr., but they might not be done when it comes to upgrading their wide receiver room. The team didn’t draft any wideouts in 2022, but that could change in this upcoming draft.

Taylor Bisciotti of NFL Network repoted that Boston College wide receiver Zay Flowers is on his way to Baltimore for a pre-draft visit with the Ravens. Flowers is considered one of the best wideouts in the 2023 class, and could be an instant impact player for any offense he gets drafted into.

Ravens GM Eric DeCosta talks about the process of signing WR Odell Beckham Jr.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta talks about how the process of bringing Odell Beckham Jr. to the team started

On Sunday the Baltimore Ravens agreed to terms with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr to a one-year deal.  The move significantly improves the receiver room heading into the 2023, and should make Baltimore’s offense much scarier to face.

During Beckham’s introductory press conference, general manager Eric DeCosta opened up about how he recruited the star to Baltimore and how the process took shape. The general manager talked about how Beckham’s recruitment spanned back to October, and how he was thrilled to finally get him in the building.

“Well first of all everybody, thanks for coming out today. It’s exciting for us and a great opportunity for us to announce Odell Beckham as our latest addition to the team. Welcome to his beautiful family. We had the chance to spend some time with them last night. His son – who I already want to represent in about 20 years – because he’s going to be a heck of an athlete. It was really a whirlwind for us; this has been something that’s been really percolating over the past year. We’ve had conversations with Odell’s agent, Zeke [Sandhu], who’s here today. This has been something that we’ve been focused on really going back to last October; we’ve had conversations to try to possibly, potentially get something worked out. It’s a great feeling for us. We had a chance to attend Odell’s workout last month in Arizona. We also had the chance to spend some time with him in Arizona during the [NFL] owner’s meetings several weeks ago. [It was a] great meeting. We went into it knowing we were the underdogs, and sometimes it’s a great story; sometimes the underdog wins. We’re thrilled to have him here today, and we’re thrilled for what this means for our football team.”

The next order of business for Baltimore is to get quarterback Lamar Jackson signed to a long-term deal.  The front office made sure to upgrade the team’s most important position of need in hopes of making Jackson happy and to make sure that he can be as successful as he can be behind center.

Ravens officially sign WR Odell Beckham Jr.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. officially signed his contract to become a member of the Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens made a big addition to their team on Sunday evening, signing wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal. Baltimore is getting an explosive playmaker who is ready prove doubters wrong after missing all of 2022 with a torn ACL.

The Ravens and Beckham made their signing official on Thursday, with the wide receiver putting pen to paper with his son Zydn in his arms. the signing official.   His deal is worth up to $18 million dollars, with $15 million in guarantees.

Having a player like Beckham on the team is exciting for many, and it will be interesting to see what kind of offense the team can actually have with him in the fold. With Beckham combined with hopefully quarterback Lamar Jackson, running back J.K. Dobbins, tight end Mark Andrews and more, the Ravens have plenty to work with on the offensive side of the ball.
