2023 BMW PGA Championship odds, picks to win

Here are 3 players to keep an eye on, including Min Woo Lee (28/1).

One of the biggest events on the DP World Tour schedule is here as an absolutely stacked field has made its way to Surrey, England, for the BMW PGA Championship at the Wentworth Club.

Last year, Shane Lowry barely escaped Rory McIlroy — his final putt rested on the lip of the 72nd hole to force a playoff — for his sixth European circuit win. After failing to make the FedEx Cup Playoffs, Lowry missed the cut at the D+D Real Czech Masters. However, he tied for third at last week’s Irish Open at The K Club.

All 12 members of the European Ryder Cup team are in the field this week along with Tom Kim, Adam Scott, Billy Horschel and Min Woo Lee.

2023 Fortinet Championship odds, course history and picks to win

The PGA Tour is back.

After a brief hiatus, the PGA Tour returns to action this week in Napa, California, at the Fortinet Championship.

Max Homa, who was recently in Rome with the United States Ryder Cup team on a scouting mission of Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, returns to Silverado Resort’s North Course as the two-time defending champion.

The 32-year-old comes into the week with five straight top-20 finishes: T-12 (Scottish Open), T-10 (The Open), T-6 (FedEx St. Jude), T-5 (BMW) and T-9 (Tour Championship). After struggling mid-summer, Homa is back to the form we saw from him in the late winter and spring of 2023.

Ryder Cup teammate Justin Thomas, Sahith Theegala and rising star Akshay Bhatia join him in the field.

2023 Tour Championship odds, course history and picks to win

Let’s finish the season with another outright winner.

We’ve arrived at the final event of the 2022-23 PGA Tour season, the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta. The top 30 in the point standings have made their way to the ATL ready to battle for the $18 million FedEx Cup bonus awarded to the winner.

After his co-runner-up finish at the BMW Championship, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will begin the tournament at 10 under, two shots clear of the man in the No. 2 spot, Viktor Hovland. Rory McIlroy, who has now finished T-9 or better in nine straight starts after a solo fourth at Olympia Fields, will begin three back at 7 under, while Jon Rahm starts at 6 under.

McIlroy chased down Scheffler last year to claim his third FedEx Cup, the only player who has achieved that feat (Tiger Woods and McIlroy are the only two players to win it more than once).

5 sleeper picks for the 2023 BMW Championship

Keep an eye on these 5 players this weekend.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs roll on this week in Illinois at Olympia Fields’ North Course for the BMW Championship.

After lifting another piece of hardware in Memphis, Lucas Glover owns the No. 4 spot in the points standings, trailing only Rory McIlroy (No. 3), Scottie Scheffler (No. 2) and Jon Rahm (No. 1).

Although Patrick Cantlay is technically the defending champion of this event, Rahm is the last player to win at OFCC for the BMW, taking down LIV Golf’s Dustin Johnson in a playoff back in 2020.

On the odds sheet, there’s clear separation between the top four players — McIlroy (+650), Scheffler (+700), Rahm (+900) and Cantlay (+1000) —and the rest of the field, but that doesn’t mean someone can’t shock the world.

Here are five sleeper picks for the BMW Championship.

Cameron Young is the perfect course fit for Olympia Fields.

We’re down to 50.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs roll on this week at Olympia Fields outside of Chicago for the BMW Championship. While Patrick Cantlay is the BMW defending champion — he won at Wilmington Country Club — Jon Rahm is the last player to win this event at OFCC, defeating Dustin Johnson in a playoff in 2020.

After Lucas Glover’s win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he moves into the No. 4 spot in the points standings, only behind Rory McIlroy (No. 3), Scottie Scheffler (No. 2) and Rahm (No. 1).

Twenty players will be sent packing Sunday evening, with the top 30 advancing to next week’s Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.

5 sleeper picks for the 2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship

It’s time to make a run in Memphis.

The top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings have made their way to Memphis, Tennessee, for the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind, this season’s first playoff event.

It’s no surprise to see world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler as the heavy betting favorite at +650. Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, Nos. 3 and 1 on the points list, respectively, are next in line at +900 to win. The Spaniard tied for fifth in Memphis last season while the other two missed the cut.

There’s plenty of star power in the field this week, but that doesn’t mean someone further down the odds list can’t make a run at the title.

Here are five sleeper picks to keep an eye on at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

2023 FedEx St. Jude Championship odds, course history and picks to win

It’s time for playoff event No. 1.

Welcome to the FedEx Cup Playoffs, folks.

This week, the top 70 in the standings are in Memphis, Tennessee, for the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind.

Will Zalatoris, who captured this title last year for his first win on the PGA Tour, is not in the field as he continues to work back from an injury that forced him to withdraw from the Masters earlier this season.

Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite at +650, followed by Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm at +900. While Rahm tied for fifth at TPC Southwind last season, both Scheffler and McIlroy missed the cut.

Come Sunday afternoon, the top 50 players in the standings will move on to next week’s BMW Championship at Olympia Fields outside Chicago.

The winner in Memphis will receive 2,000 FedEx Cup points.

Here’s what Justin Thomas needs to do at the Wyndham Championship to make FedEx Cup playoffs

Thomas hasn’t played at the Wyndham since 2016 — he missed the cut.

The 2022-23 PGA Tour regular season has been a mixed bag for Justin Thomas. But it’s been more bad than good of late.

In his last seven starts, Thomas has missed five cuts, including the U.S. Open and the Open — he tied for 65th at the PGA Championship.

It would have been tough to see that coming after the way he began this year’s campaign with eight top-25 finishes in his first 11 starts, highlighted by a solo fourth at the WM Phoenix Open.

This week, Thomas returns to the site of his Tour debut, the Wyndham Championship (78th, 2009). In two professional appearances at Sedgefield Country Club, Thomas has finished 56th (2015) and MC (2016).

[gambcom-standard rankid=”3413″ ]

Our partners at For The Win have taken a look at what exactly Thomas has to do this week to make the postseason.

In order for Thomas to make the playoff field — he currently ranks 79th in the FedEx Cup standings — he’ll have to finish in the top 15 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Thomas is +3500 to win the Wyndham Championship, which ties for the seventh-best in the field, +400 to finish in the top 10 and +190 for a top 20.

If he makes it into the field for next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship played at TPC Southwind, Thomas will have plenty of good course history to tap into. He won the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational in 2020 and finished 13th last year.

2023 Wyndham Championship odds, course history and picks to win

Is this the week McCarthy finally gets in the winner’s circle?

[anyclip pubname=”2122″ widgetname=”0016M00002U0B1kQAF_M8171″]

The final event of the PGA Tour 2022-23 regular season is here as a field of players hoping to earn an invitation to TPC Southwind has arrived at Sedgefield Country Club for the Wyndham Championship.

Justin Thomas, the biggest name in the field, is fighting for more than just a playoff spot — he’s hoping to make a final impression on United States Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson. Thomas comes into the week in Greensboro, North Carolina, ranked 79th in the FedEx Cup standings. The top 70 get into the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis next week.

Adam Scott, Shane Lowry and Gary Woodland are just three of the other big names hoping a good week at Sedgefield can propel them into the postseason.
