Cincinnati centerfielder Nick Senzel has missed the Reds’ last two games due to a hamstring injury.

He suffered the injury Sunday in Cincinnati’s 8-5 loss to the Cubs.

Senzel went 0-for-1 with one walk before leaving the game. He has recorded eight hits in the last 11 games.

The former Vol has recorded a .243 batting average in 2022, totaling three home runs, 18 RBIs, 36 runs, 11 doubles and six stolen bases.

Senzel was the No. 2 overall pick in 2016. He made his MLB debut in 2019.

Senzel played for Tennessee from 2014-16 and was an All-America standout for the Vols.

During his junior year and final season at Tennessee, he led the SEC with 25 doubles.

The contest will take place on property where the movie “Field of Dreams” was filmed.

Major League Baseball first hosted a game on the field last season. The White Sox and former Vol Garrett Crochet defeated the Yankees.

The 2022 contest will feature the Cubs against Cincinnati. Former Vols Nick Senzel and the Reds (44-66) will play Yan Gomes and Chicago (45-65).

Senzel was the No. 2 overall pick by Cincinnati in 2016.

Gomes played for the Vols from 2008-09.
